I tried shaving my chest hair once and it itched like crazy as it started growing back in because the sharp ends of the cut hair would rub against my shirts. Also if my girlfiend complains that my 5 o'clock shadow will scrape and cut her cheeks I can't imagine how bad it would be if my entire chest were like that. I don't like going to the beach with that much hair but haven't found a good solution either.

@manesh Thanks for the reply. I actually trimmed my chest, abs, and pubes using a #1 guard on the clipper on Wed. (last time I did it i used a #2 and it was fine so I went down to #1) I did at night so I sleep through it. And the next day was fine other than the occasional itch due to it sticking on the shirt. Now it doesn't really bother at all. You should try it.

Helpful tip: sit on the toilet backwards. lol.. All the clippings just fall in the toilet and there is very little mess.

I guess his choice is to feel like a sheep or to feel like an itch shorn sheep. Whenever I've shaved the hair on my chest the discomfort came from the stubble. As for waxing, yeah, it might make you smooth but then you get a crop of ingrown hairs and pimples that you have to pick out with an exacto knife.
