Continuity is not a great feature of films like these. I doubt whether the producers could have told a Star and a Castle apart! I once saw a film with a train entering a station behind a Bulleid Pacific and pulling up with a King Arthur. The Castle changes too, to 5013 as the train leaves. I suppose the producer asked for some slipping at the start - not very GW!

Charlie (the fireman) should've been shoveling coal and turning the water injectors on while the train was stopped at the station. The best time to add water and coal to a steam locomotive is when it's stopped. This way, the fire will have plenty of coal on the move without it being burned to ashes immediately. And the boiler will have plenty of water on the move.
I agree - a Castle slipping? Never.

2 things ...
You never come onto a train without stopping short and then being called on by the shunter or guard !
Its 5004 Llanstephan Castle - which also featured in the 1949 film "A run for your money" - RIP old Landore girl !

Anyone notice how the Engine that backed on was a Star, but the loco that pulled away and numberplate claerly indicate a Castle ?.
