He's alright. Kinda boring with his guitar and his songs suck. He needs to dive into the melodic side of the guitar and not just rape scales all the time. If you play melodically during solos then you won't repeat meaningless licks over and over. I know alot of kids who are much more sophisticated on their axe than this kid. Here in Texas this is how you play the guitar when you are 17 or 18 years old. He's not a prodigy here in Texas. Thats why he moved to Nashville instead of Austin.
Cool guitar playing. Tyler really ortta just "Shut up and play guitar" as Frank said.
His voice and the teenage subject matter really blow it for me. Go instrumental dude, trust me! :) Just ask Jeff beck, you'll come off looking and sounding way cooler! :)
@Frinkstobat yeah man. his lyrics are kind of juvenile...but then again he's like how old? i'm saying give him a few years to get some real depth to his voice and maybe a little more experience with the blues and he'll get it at least a little better.
i think most players try not to use there pinky. if it wasnt there at least for me, it wouldnt affect me much but yet i think you have to learn to use it often if u want to become a great guitar player
well, if it doesn't make the riff easier then why use it .. I dont think they avoid, i think they use it only when they need, but yeah the pinky is also a finger so it should be used more often, but it depends on the song and on the guitar player.. =)
hard to bend/use vibrato with the pinky. other than that and the fact that (in my case at least) pinky is just awkward...can't think of any other reason.
@samjad1 It's only hard at the beginning and yeah for some players it's awkward for a long time. My guitar teacher gave me a lot of shit for not using it and I can't play without it now.
@Zmcluvin yeah my teacher gave me a lot of shit too. made me play pentatonics through the entire lesson with only my pinky. It works for some...not so much for me though. I use it for the occasional reach or chords, but that's really about it.
@Airicology idk brother.. i met this guy he knows his shit... hes very mature.. but honestly i like tx music more.. i like this guys voice more aswell. and he is like 3 yrs younger
Saw Tyler last month in Monterey and sent this cllp to some seasoned pros. I love this guy. He's got a vision - and a future. This is what I'm craving - and, ironically, it ends up coming from a younger generation. Whatever it takes. Go for it, Tyler! You've got it.
Went to see the documentary screening of "Rock Prophecies", which was about a rock photographer and a guitarist he thought was going to be the next star, which is Tyler Bryant.
This kid is impeccable, especially if you hear the whole story behind him.
@zeppelin1996 He's from my home town Honey Grove, TX. I haven't seen his album in stores, other than the convenience store there. I'm sure it is by now, but I'm overseas. It's called Born In Texas.
this is amazing, Tyler Bryant is not afraid to go where few people ever have using the guitar. it feels like he is bringing back that classic rock feel and people will love it.
so yesterday im walking into the seattle music and art festival bumbershoot to go watch the rockstar vert ramp and I get sidetracked by a rock riff in the distance. I investigate and I see tyler bryant starting their show. Never heard of him before but now im a fan. He can flat out PLAY. his solos were great. Great stage presence and a good showman too. Cant wait to see what this guy does in the future
idk if im blind or what but it looks like hes using his pinky to me jclev99 and your fucking dumb anyways you prob never even picked up a guitar and your telling someone thats 18 that is sponsored by fender that opens for a heart concert go fuck your self fucking hater
davy knowles is a good player but he tends to be boring and his shows go on and on. no excitement there. Sayce and Bryant are exciting and are the full package.
he's ok. by no means a guitar god or one of the best guitarists around. if you want to see a future guitar god/one of the best guitarists alive check out davy knowles. now he is a future guitar god
you are out of your mind. jealously is not very becoming. pretty good player? this kid is one of the best players alive. i have a pretty good idea who wrote this. lespaul76 has an agenda or needs to get his eyes and ears fixed!

It's pretty much just pentatonic wanking. Sorry for offending you with my opinion, but lets set the record straight. He's a half decent player, hardly one of the best players alive. This stuff doesn't do it for me. No agenda here, I just think his playing is just recycled bs and he can't sing very well and has awful lyrics. You have a good idea who wrote this? Hahaha great. How about I'm the boogie man! lol.
theres a cat named wes jeans from east texas that is in his mid twenties. he can melt one down as well. if you ever get a chance, be sure to check this dude out
Seen him Sunday night in Dallas also. He blew the place up before B.B. took over. He's got killer vibrato. Only 18 and opening for the King. Hung out with him out back at BB Kings bus for a while. Very quiet and shy, but can play the hell outta guitar. He's gonna be big, just give him some years under his belt.
as a 30 plus year blues guitarist and someone whose good friends with this kid, i can tell you that he will be huge. heard roosevelt twitty, old timer who played with muddy, hendrix, you name them tell me that tyler's the best he's ever heard. give him a little more time to live life. he will be one of the greatest
I'm inclined to agree. I just saw him a couple of hours ago in Amarillo. This guy is phenomenal. Years from now, he'll be part of countless "who's the best guitarist, ever?" debates. I'm glad I met him tonight because someday I'm sure I'll brag about it.

Can I ask you a favour? - All I ask is that you stop by and have a listen to my original folk/rock music. - (I dont do covers. Covers are cool they just arent my bag) - You dont have to throw coins into my guitar case. - All you have to do is stop by my channel. - Thanks. - Ps. A sincere thank you to one and all for helping to make our spoken word poem Meaningful Metal the number one download in the category on Itunes. You Guys Rock! Check out the YouTube version.

Hmm he's good, but i think Davy Knowles is probably better.
they both look the same age, but i think Knowles is miles ahead in terms of maturity and what direction he's taking his music.
but this kid has skill! He just needs to work on a few things.
