Hippopotami is the collective term for a load of hippopotamuses ... of which I don't think is corect ... that's hippopotamuses is the wrong word ... I think ;-)

But in common street usage, "hippopotamuses" has become more common for us Americans (and maybe Brits too). "Hippopotamuses" also became popular via the Gayla Peavey song "I Want A Hippopotamus For Christmas."
