The books has plenty of slips like that, like how Dudley gets a Playstation before they're even released etc. Though honestly, I don't think it matters that much since it's not an historical novel.
Hmm, would have been been a bit fun if they had played a typical -97/-98 song though. Wasn't that the years of "macarana"? "dr Jones" and "tubthumping"? Yeah, that was a funny childhood *still has the CDs*
@aryllia Well, that song wasnt used in book as I remember:) And in the movies, everything looks like from 2007-2010, clothes, cars, buildings. So, they kept the book timeline (you can see dtes on Black family tree) but used a present background.
these movies r just tooooo good i love them all how they show lightness in the darkest places is great and in i think the second movie dumbledore even say a line haveing to do with bringing light in even the darkest on places ...ALLL GREAT MOVIES !!!!!!
This scene has really grown on me :) their friendship is truly epic! But it always breaks my heart, though, at the end because Hermione returns to being sad again cause she misses Ron too much :,(

When I first saw this in theaters with my family, I thought "Why could they got together?!" Lol. My favorite scene of Harry and Hermione in this movie. Next to the one of them in the snow. <3
even though I ship Ron and Hermione I can't deny this scene looks very romantic in the bigining when they are looking to each other! very good acting!
I can see where some would find this romantic, but if you are familiar with the series, you know they would never see each other that way. they are like siblings. And i think he is just seeing exactly how many sacrifices she has made for him, and this is his way of saying thank you, as well as trying to cheer her up.

It seems like Harry has been there for Hermione more than Ron has..
1. When Ron insulted her in the first one. It was Harry that remembered that she was in the bathroom
2. When Hermione was uspet about Ron kissing.. That girl when they won the quidditch match
