@notanymike I asked one of my friend (who know Chinese). She said: the 虹 in 虹猫 (Howie) is 虹 in 彩虹 (Rainbow). It's not Red. So the translator is right.

Red is spelled 红, but in this case its 虹, which means "rainbow" like in 彩虹 (rainbow).
