Estimated friend, if you want to listen again this song and an endless number of successes of the love I suggest you to visit Radio MUSICA PARA MIMOS - looks for his direction URL in Google ( search Musica para Mimos in Google)-. best romantic music of all the times in Internet, is great, is very good ...!!!
It turns out Wounded Bird Records recently reissued the "Can't Wait All Night" album on CD. CD Universe has the album for around $8 USD. Also, the song is available on the "Juice Newton - Anthology" CD, which contains all her biggest hits, except "Tell Her No" and the hit version of "Sweetest Thing".
I heard this song a week ago on 80s radio station for the first time, searched iTunes ,they have pretty much all of Juice Newton's albums but this song was in none of them, found it sung by Elkie Brooks on iTunes though, don't know who sang it originally but liked the Juice Newton version much better, can anyone tell where to find it ? other then YouTube of course, love 80s if you're anything like me then you'll know what i mean
It's on Itunes in the US on Juice's "Can't Wait All Night" album. It was written for her by Bryan Adams so she is the original performer. Send me your email address and I'll email you the MP3.
I really love Juice Newton. I have her first 4 lp's. I really prefer her pop music to her country. I don't understand why "Can't Wait All Night " didn't make the top 10! The song before that was "A Litte Love" in June 1984, which peaked at # 44. Pop radio seemed to have turned their back on her. So sad....
@VASINGER I'm sorry that you feel like she "wasted" her voice on Pop music. I didn't really care much for country music back then. I was aware that she was a country singer before she crossed over to pop. I do think she has an incredible voice, but the "country sound" was not my thing back then, as I was the typical teenager at the time. I loved Top 40 Pop all the way. I now like some of today's country music, because it has really improved over the years!
@Martywt43 In general, Pop music usually is more about image and less about vocal talent. Country Music back in the day was amazing. Today's country is atrocious. It has gotten worse over the years, not better. But Country songs in general require a stronger vocal and more heartfelt delivery. Older Country Music is great, and much of her stuff is today considered Classic Country.
I have always understood the lyrics to be: "I'm walking through the land mine zone -- just wishing I could make you mine -- there's nothing left for me but anticipation"
Jim Vallance and Bryan Adams. It should've been a hit. Problem with Juice is she kept falling between pop and country and radio didn't know where to place her
Ironically RCA dropped her and her next album "Old Flame" tore the country charts apart, sending 3 songs to the top of those charts and many other songs into the country top ten
@markdc20005 Actually "Both To Each Other" was released on the second 1985 pressings of "Old Flame" both on cassette and CD, and then when "Old Flame" was re-released in 1988, it was left off, along with two other tracks from the earlier release. Juice was dropped from RCA in 1989 after her "Ain't Gonna Cry" release came out.
You know...Juice isn't by any means faking here when she's on board the 'horsey'...she's an accomplished equestrianso she can handle ol' Silver even on a beach. Great song!
I remember when this song was on the radio! Even though it wasn't among Juice's biggest hits, people who liked it liked it A LOT. Great song. In 1984 (when this song came out), very little rock-n-roll was popular on radio or in videos. Springssteen was big, but even his stuff was pretty "pop".
Wow! What a song! Queen Of Hearts, Angel Of The Morning and Cant Wait All Night took us across alot of country to and from jobs in some pretty desolate country thru Wyoming goin from yearling outfits to our winter jobs. This song here deserves more favorable comments so here,s another one!! GREAT!!!

Juice Newton did "Can't Wait" first in 1984 (Bryan Adams wrote the song for her to record) -- Elkie Brooks did it on her 1988 album.

One of my favorite CD's from her.

at 2:41) What is she saying, they lyrics I get on the web say
I'm walking on lands mines
It sounds like there are too many syllables for that line. Or he's say mines as two syllables
markxxx21 3 years ago
Another site says it is:
I'm looking for to lend my time
Just wishin' I could make you mine
Which fits but still sounds weird...

anticipa---tion...

Actually she was still on RCA when "Old Flame" came out. It included:
1) You Make me want to make you mine (#1)
2) Hurt (#1)
3) Old Flame (#5)
4) Both to Each other (#1) which was added to the CD later on
5) Cheap Love (#9)
6) What Can I do with my heart (#9)
