Hi my name is Brandy I am 22 years old.diagnosed with PCOS about 2years ago, i have 1son whom just turned 6&I am currrently 11 weeks &4 days prego. I only took metformin for 1day, &stopped.I tried some study to see if they could help me concieve... but only gained weight from the pills.then tried some chinese pills(i know bad) but it worked i weighed 225 in February and by the end of June when I finally concieved I was back@my prebirth weight of 181.Never give up!! &Try just becoming healthy!

I know exactly how you feel/felt about the miscarriage, My husband & I have been trying for 12 years, we did 2 cycles of IVF first was neg. 2nd was positive,the day I found out I was pregnant I bought a baby book & the next few wks. I bought so much baby stuff. A few wks passed (14 wks) & we found out we were expecting twins Happiest day of my life......BUT about 2 hours later....I miscarried....Worse day of my life. So far I've been through it all, and I always expect the worst.

This video helped me so much! I have pcos and the Dr told me I would need to go on metformin to get pregnant. I want to try without it..did you need to use metformin and if so did it have any weird side effects?

I have it too, but none of the bad symptoms ( hair, patches or weight gain) just irregular periods. I tried clomid a while back but no luck. I'll begin trying again when I can afford to pay for medicine that doesn't work:( but congrats and good luck.

Weird, I was diagnosed with PCOS and the only symptom I have is irregular periods as well. I'm 24 also and have not tried fertility treatments yet. i still want to try on my own (even though I know it probably won't happen). Good luck to you.

Congrats on your little one! I am 26 yrs old and have pcos. I was diagnosed when I was 24. I have been preg before when i was 17 and had no business being preg I was 150 pounds and healthy it ended in misscarriage. IMy last period started on May 29th I've been getting it consistintly 4 1 year and a half. My bf and i have been sexual active and I haven't got it since then I am 51 days out since my last period no signs of it coming I'm afraid to test because my body may be playing w/me.

I have it really bad on my chin, under my chin, and upperlip, and my side burns, so yea its gross but what can ya do right?

Hello, I have been on Metformin for about 3 months....how much metformin do u take a day....I am taking 1500 milligrams a day...... also I asked my doc about clomid and she advised to loose 30 pounds first...like it;s so easy with PCOS...but anyways were you average weight when u got clomed or over weight?  thanks have a great day

I took Metformin for 9 months before I got pregnant. It wasnt the metformin alone that did it though, I was also on Clomid for a couple cycles to induce ovulation.

I was diagnosed with pcos 9 yrs ago. I had come to terms with the fact i wouldnt be a mum and was happy being an auntie and having my two cats. I took Dianette for 2 months for acne but the doctor took me off it and 2 1/2 mths later i did a preg test and it was positive. I dont know how far i am as i only found out last wk but the doc said i could have conceived anytime from late Oct which was my last period. I cant believe it is real. I took Metformin to control my PCOS side effects and Clomid to induce ovulation. They worked for me :-) My baby is due March 17th...I am 22 weeks along right now.
