I think the 3G is pretty sick and it is definitly worth buying it. Still, it depends on how much money you have and you want to spend. Wifi is free. The thing is, the iPhone plan is expensive. I Pay 75$ per month and bought it 199.99$ on a 3 year contract.
it's fucked up that i can't buy the iphone straight out from any store here (Finland), instead i have to pay my operator over 500 € (about $500) for Iphone 3GS 32GB, AND a 2 year conrtact. on a one year contact, it's even more
