  • nVidia PhysX is, and was, as Ageia PhysX, primarily targeted at large scale precision particle and cloth physics, such as interactive smoke, cloth, water, and wind effects.

It has absolutely nothing to do with rigid body physics.

I really wish people would smarten up and realize that GPU accelerated physics could greatly improve gaming as a whole, and are not some new replacement for oldschool CPU based physics. They are made to work together.

  • Now if we can implent this into battlefied

  • crysis 2

  • In some games you explicitly need it. In others it works but is intentionally crippled by running on just one CPU core. I've done a test with Mirror's Edge. Software PhysX and it was running the same (slow) on E5200 @ 3,7GHz (dual core) and now on Core i7 920 @ 4GHz (quad core with 8 threads). Just because it was intentionally coded in a way that you can't run it smoothly on CPU even though i'm quie sure i could get a pretty decent performance on Core i7...

  • I like the description saying to use nVidia PhysX you absolutely HAVE to have a card specifically for that. Lol. There is no need for an extra card to use PhysX, it just runs a lot better with an extra card, not it needs to have an extra card.

  • Thought we were going to see a complete fail whale for a second there...

  • this game is like a stress relief and FUCKING AWSOME

  • HOLY SHIT!

  • near perfect my ass... seriously matter should be heavier Ive seen big stuff being hanged only by a small pilar

  • @Spyker619 but it's on mars which has different gravity

  • @kevthekid41 Oh...

    That makes much more sense

  • @Spyker619

Who cares? It's fun anyway XD It's a game where you can hit cars with a hammer and launch them straight back to earth LMFAO!

  • @DeadCatStudios Lol yeah its awesome, but I'd prefer if when I use explosives they'd have a more realistic destruction.

But its still awesome. just a small complaint.

  • @Spyker619 remember that this is mars. their gravity is several times weaker than that of earth. Things that would be considered structurally unstable on earth would be fine on mars. (though that doesn't explain why everything still falls at the speed most would see on earth)

  • @ComradeMagnum I think it's just bad programming.

  • @Spyker619 probably, BUT I CAN MAKE EXCUSES, CAN'T I!?!?!? T_T

  • @ComradeMagnum I'm gonna go Morpheus on you, and tell you that you can believe, whatever you want to believe.

  • @Spyker619 I pick the yellow pill

  • @Spyker619 im getting....sleepy.....Curse you Morpheus.......
