Thank you so much for making this tutorial. You have no idea how much you helped me. I was trying to render a 1080p h264 video from after effects but it kept rendering black bars on the sides of my video because 1080 isn't divisible by 16. The resize feature in staxrip croped it to 1072 which got rid of the black bars.
See the yellow box when it prompts you to overwrite? On the left is the input filename, on the right is the output. Just change that name and it wont prompt you.
You should simply delete off the part of the audio encoding option that control the gain. When you go to Edit an AAC encoder option, you'll see: -ota( -d %delay% -g max ). Delete the -g max, which tells it to set the gain to max.
Nice tutorial, but when I follow this exactly and try and play the output file in quicktime i just get the message... "Error -50: an unknown error occurred" Really cant figure this out, it seems all my StaxRip created files are like this!
my staxrip causes a bluescreen everytime while rendering :(

Nice tut. Shame there is nothing about the crop feature. I had some problems using it.

My StaxRip 1.1.6.9 Beta has a problem. Everytime I add a video file in there, it just stops and says ''Not answering''. Can anybody help?

The latest version of StaxRip come with all the required components so you don't have to manually download any.
You can get the latest version from SourceForge which is where the project is now hosted at.
