Yes, Regine is karaoke. She copies the runs, the inflections and even the accent. Her only improvisations are just some random, screamed high belts. That's not musicianship in the slightest.
Regine's voice is nothing special. She can just belt high, and her technique isn't even very good. Having a naturally high voice doesn't make you a great singer.

Yes, Regine is karaoke. She copies the runs, the inflections and even the accent. Her only improvisations are just some random, screamed high belts. That's not musicianship in the slightest.
Regine's voice is nothing special. She can just belt high, and her technique isn't even very good. Having a naturally high voice doesn't make you a great singer.

Strain comes from singing from the throat, which is what your karaoke screamers do in the upper belted notes (with the only possible exception of Viray). Beyonce sings in the mask. Sit down.
Charice could never outsing Beyonce. She is just a little karaoke waste product who darkens her voice just to sound "big" by suppressing the larynx.
