I borrowed this album from a friend after I heard "One More Astronaut" on 102.1 The EDGE, in 1996. I loved that track, but was blown away by Dig. I had never head anything remotely like it before.
Way ahead of their time, and significantly better than most of their contemporaries in terms of musicianship, songcraft, lyricality and listenability. IME is undoubtedly one of THE best hidden gem bands of the 90's and so underrated so as to be nearly criminal.
So, I remember Edwin telling the story about this song at a small bar in Dallas. He said after the show a woman and man came over to him and told him that she loved to masturbate to this song as her husband/bf had a huge grin and nobbed yes! Classic story I had to share.

Man, reminds me of being a kid. This is one of my favourite IME songs ever...it's too bad they had to trim it for the single.
Also, people should give Brian Byrne and the other two IME albums a fair chance. They are also really brilliant, in fact, I actually prefer those two to the first two...ah hell, I love them all!!
I saw em play in Tampa at a big outdoor concert at the USF soccer field. They played Rain Will Fall last, and withing ten seconds of them finishing, it started pouring =)
Cool! I bought a strat guitar because of Jag, but I didnt realize until now that its almost exactly the same as the guitar he plays in this video, except mine has a seymour humbucker in the bridge.
Man, these guys were a really good band, too bad Edwin's ego got in the way. I loved DIG, it was my favourite album - used to do my art homework in highschool to that album everynight.
In my opinion DIG is the greatest and most original album of all-time. And I'm not even really into this type of music, usually a heavy metal guy myself, but you cant deny the power of this album.
this is a great song (has a DOORS feel to it). I saw them in Shreveport, LA in March 1997 and they didn't even play this song. Anyway, a great band and song (especially the long version)
Why dont people stop discussing who is better, and just appreciate the IME that you like. I am a bigger fan of Dig, and S&F, but bluegreenorange and Quiksilver MEat dream also kick the ass.
What a beautiful song. Reminds me of my younger days. My buddies and I saw these guys in their last, (or second last) concert at Georgian College in Barrie in '97. Great show!! I wish they would reunite!
This song maks me wish I were young again..it brings many tears to my eyes..and yes the best part of the song is missing..I'm living in the USA now and can't find DIG anywhere..
Awesome song! This is my favorite from IME. It makes an interesting comparison with the THE END by the Doors since it is in the same key and uses many of the same riffs.
I saw em live in the early 90's here in tampa at the USF soccer stadium. They did Rain Will Fall last, and like 10 seconds after they finished the bottom fell out of the sky. Everyone cheered =)

Jag is probably one of the best funk-ish guitarist... ever.

Such a powerful sound, Jag is without a doubt one of the best guitarists to come out of Canada.

We all have our window of opportunity.. take advantage of it and apprecieate it for what it is because you will yearn for it later in life.

This is what happens when a buddy plays "rain will fall" and isn't around to pull another CD.
I bought the album because of this song.
Very cool backwards guitars.

Jag will always be one of my inspirations for guitar. He's got the feel... where ever it happens to come from. Its awesome.

Jag has so much feel it's sick...I'd rather listen to him than light speed guitarists with no feel.

to bad they cut so much of the song out, all the subtle playing

well a 6 or 7 minute song is no good for mass media ;) but i hear ya, the album version is way better.
