I think I finally understand the story line. The whole part with her in a dress, running away from the red eyes is a flash back. Up until :44 is present day: she runs away from what appears to be a school field trip to pay her respect to the blue eye that saved her in the flash back. :45 starts the flash back. You can tell by her hair and her face that she's younger compared to the other current day scenes. The blue eye sacrifices its life, and we come back to the present day at 3:09.

una niña anda caminando entre las ruinas, cuando cae y se encuentra una esfera de piedra que tiene un hueco, ella tiene un medallón con una pierda azul y se la pone a la esfera. comienza a recordar todo:

la chica es un peligro para los robots y se ha ordenado eliminarla. el robot blanco la saca de ese lugar, a costa de su vida.

es una linda historia de amistad que te enseña que a veces debes sacrificar algo por el bien de los demás.

You just gotta find the magic in it.

I could listen to the guitar alone without the backing track for the pure amazing nature of whoever plays it in this version of Canon. Just around the end, my ears percieve it as glorious matter instead of sound waves.

oh then i get it, the songs are stereo so one of the speakers broke and it just played the left or the right part which didn't contain the guitar. It happens all the time. Like I remember i played chrush dignity without voice but it was the broken speaker what happened.

@dragonliger At Incredible Daves in Louisville, KY, the pump machine there has the guitar version of Canon D... plus the machine is well taken care of, so its in good condition.

Well, I am going to contribute to the debate of whether or not this should have been an anime:

No, it shouldn't. Think about it, all we have is a girl who escapes from evil/guardian robots by activating a dead/unused one. And then later on in her life, she SOMEHOW found the ruins of that city after leaving a tour group. If anything, maybe it should be an anime movie, due to it's flatness of the storyline.

Don't get me wrong, I love this animation, it's just not satisfying for some reason.

omg, after like the 100th time watching it, i finally understood it....

from 0:45 - 3:11 she started off as a little child, and the blue eyeball was saving her, until at 2:33 the thing was shot out of the eyeball, which means at 0:00 - 0:45 she was placing the thing back in the eyeball, and from 3:11 - 3:18 the eyeball comes back to life. :D

i suppose it isnt an anime then, coz its basically the whole story...
