I enjoyed the video very professional so I have not seen anything around here, excellent care for dogs. but you do not believe me here in Buenos Aires the Argentine Dogo is very bad press or imagen.Eso one might go better with people like you profecionales able to train people and animals. greetings friends
Thanks to you, very important that profecionales as you and your partners intend to educate people to please once and for all everyone to understand that the Dogo is a dangerous dog in the hands ONLY of untrained or irresponsible. When properly socialized and well educated can coexist within a household with children. Many believe that the Dogo is not the ideal dog for children, I disagree with them because the Dogo is properly educated companion and protector noblest that a child may have.
My grandfather had a couple back in Argentina beautiful dogs used for ranching out in nature but this dogs training to kill fucking americans AND their mentality ruining the Breed
try this with my 8 year old 63 kilo dogo... he would bite a nice little piece out of that cute little ass hehehe... this dogo is young.... and hes having lots of fun...
@gekof are you stupid?! or just envious? the dogo argintino is a new breed they only began breeding them in the 1930's. American pitbull terriers were first bred in the 1800's! they were bred from bulldogs and various terriers! Dogo argentino's were even made with pitbulls and MANY other breeds!
A 9 year old Dogo was sleeping in the little girls room. Someone broke into the house through her window and the Dogo killed the intruder with a bite to the back of the head.
I breed these dogs and want to tell everyone to never ever ever teach your dog to do this unless you want a professional guard dog that is god for nothing else and has to be chained up all the time when he isn't working. If you allow a Dogo to think he can dominate people, he will be really dangerous in normal situations.
@stopharian Totally agree. I have a dogo and a fila. Neither one had to be trained at all to be guard dogs. So really this type of training just hurts the breed.
You don't have to teach a dog to attack to protect you. They're smart they know when your in danger. My pit is the sweetest dog ever and loves everyone but when someone broke in my house through the open window my dog attacked him. Its weird because he meets random people all the time and people cut through my yard with him in it and hes never been mean to anyone.
He still is nice to everyone. He just new that guy was up to no good. I always thought he'd lick and intruder to death.
if your dog is protecting you from an attacker, the dog will not be labeled as dangerous. If the dog bit someone for no reason, the dog will be labeled as a dangerous dog. Stop spreading ignorance.
if your dog is protecting you from an attacker, the dog will not be labeled as dangerous. If the dog bit someone for no reason, the dog will be labeled as a dangerous dog. Stop spreading ignorance
If that dog is 10 months old, get some weight off of him!
To the guy who thinks the dog should release and rebite when hit, only hectic stick-shy dogs do that. In "real life" this dog will more likely than not ever have a "street bite", or if it does it will end up put to sleep at the local shelter as a "dangerous dog"... so the training is more or less for show.
Two small penises, one normal size. It's not Jeopardy to guess who owns what! Nobody needs a dog like this. If you think it will protect your family against intruders, guess what, a bullet between it's eyes will close it out just as quickly as a bullet would your wife and kid. Meanwhile, training an animal to actively become aggressive towards humans is more than likely going to result in a dead toddler from next door. I love my Jack Russell! Grow up you small dicked Americans!
@adstow Pretty ignorant to believe a dog cant be trained to distinguish potential danger and to protect a family or object vs attack a toddler. Congrats on understanding physics enough to realize a bullet would kill the dog and or the family he protects regardless. However that doesnt mean a dog cant deter intruders, and cant cant benefit from learning controlled aggression. If its not your cup of tea dont knock those that do it properly. Enjoy developing your JR into a happy functional dog
but the great things about those dogs is that you never know where they are going to grab you... it can be neck, or ark back or anything else... LOL!!! I love Dogo Argentino! they can also fight one to one with a cougar to protect family they are part of....
awesome Dogo!!! but with the training when the guy tries to hit the dog, dog should let go the hand he is holding andget his other hand so in this case dog will safe hiumself for being hurt... makes sense???
Great dog. I have an 8 month old, 96lbs of pure muscle. My Cousin has an older one from same father. We take it to bear mountain w/ us & can keep up (Extremely agile like a Pitt). Very smart. Mine is super friendly but gets a little protective whenever someone comes close to my kids he doesn't know.
funny how people see videos online about dogos and try to get them then research people and a white guard dog not the brightest idea but they are good dogs from what i heard and beautiful as well. And not the throat shit was going for the face but what do you expect guard dogs to go for arms and legs all the time?
@BuckHunter1579 My family has been breeding Dogo Argentino dogs since the Early 1990's. Though this individual may keep his dog outside, if you do some research, it is discouraged. For the simple fact that this dog has no undercoat to keep it warm. Also, in the summertime, they are sensitive to being kept in extreme sunlight so, they can sunburn so, if they are kept outside, it should be in shade during summer months. Elevation should not be a problem with them though.
I'm dubious about any Tom Dick and Harry training their Dogo as a protection dog. Think about what you are doing. That dog in the video will not have a normal dogs life. Neither will yours if you train it to be aggressive. That is a trained dog and it still had to be prised off the person it was attacking. If you train your dog to be like that you have to be prepared for it to attack someone you don't want it to. (They do have their own minds) and then it can get destroyed - YOUR fault.
hey man i got a 10mo old pit lol they should play together sometime he aint nearly that big hes 22 in at the withers and 65lbs.... i love dogo argetinos... i been thinkin bout gettin either one of them or a cane corso for my next dog ... can you recommend some good breeds for protection training that are like dogos or canes
everyone keep saying a dogo is a pit on steroids... but there are many aspects in which a pit is "better"... better is subjective, but a dogo is not a pit on steroids
My dogo is 5 months old. He is named Spartacus and bred from La cocha ( Argebtina) and Debonair( San Diego Ca) Kennels.

Spartacus is already very protective and barks and hackles when someone comes to the door. Once you own a dogo you will never want another breed again.
very nice dog. he looks good especially for just learning. i really dont like training a dog "where" 2 bite. n a real life situation, i want him 2 grab & handle wherever until he can get a better 1 if he needs 2. i also think people get dogs too sleeve happy like that. if um1 presents him a sleeve n lets him get it, the intruder/attacker has a free pass. thats good. i like him biting that butt! get em boi!!!!!
@BlueGama600 My dogo is 5 months old and is already very protective. They are instinctually protective and will die to protect you or anyone, anything their master shows love for.

@AltarOfThoughts Yes I WILL train it if I get one. I'm just saying I will not bother training a Dogo if it is not natural protective and doesn't have potential to be a good protection dog.
@AltarOfThoughts It's true. I have a 10-month-old untrained Dogo. My 19-yr-old son bought him in CO (against my advice) and now of course I have him. I've had him for almost three months and he has become out of control as far as protecting me...against, like you said, EVERYTHING & EVERYONE EVERYWHERE...I've had to put up an extra fence in the backyard to keep him 4' away from the property line fence as he is super aggressive territorially...
@mrynn6 Get a professional trainer and start treating the dogo like a dog, not a human.
