  • the one you pointed to on the left is the airport card my friend. i know cause i have serviced hundreds of macs over the years. i have a nearly 15 thousand dollars worth of macs within just the last 5 years.

  • I don't know too much about Mac construction but that could the airport card. I'm Sp used to working on pcs for people.

  • If you break or damage anything while your in there that is not covered, but you can change ur hard disk and memory w/o affecting the warranty. What u did to the hard disk or memory will not be covered.

  • If you read the manuel just opening it does not void the warranty.

  • Wow Mac... I wish I owned one :(

  • im 12, my dad helped me a little bit, but i opened up and fixed the 15" early 2008 penrym macbook pro (their was a problem with the right fan) it was like defusing a bomb, my leg was shaking, and i was sweating like a pig. In the end, i thought it was fun, and believe it or not, i wanted to do it again!

  • meh ,... ive torn my macbook down to raw case... i dont need applecare because i can service it myself. if something goes wrong, i can order the part and replace it myself. applecare isnt a big deal, theres usually a lot of apple resellers who will fix anything, as long as you have the money.

  • Inside the mac book is nothing but pure evil, so u will see the devil stars and sht, and a note saying "ahahha paid for a piece of shit." right next to the paper fans and plastic cpu

  • This would not have voided warranty, there are no void stickers or seals over any of the screws to take these apart, as long as nothing was physically damaged or changed then the warranty would still apply.

  • lmao, opening the case fully voids the warranty.

  • lmao, opening the case fully voids the warranty. s

  • well there is't much in there for the amount you pay for these things.

  • Id even be too scared to unscrew the thing in the first place.

  • Id be too scared to do that, cause as you mentioned, I Void the warranty if they find out I opened it, plus they won't take care of it if I break it myself.

  • fake and gay

  • @GhosT2p4c how is it fake (i know its gay) XD

  • @GhosT2p4c Your mom is fake and gay... OHHH PWNAGE!!!!!!!!

  • i learned so much about life

  • this isn't a MacBook Pro

  • @MrSweety95 this is a old macbook pro

  • this isn't a MacBook Pro

  • warranty right out the window warranty is the there because if there a problem your not allowed to open it

  • @shotokanmike999 So, lets say my battery is completely dead, and I need to change my battery, does that make the warranty go out? My guess, no.

  • you have already voided the warenty by opining it

  • lol lol that was so scary lol. lol.

    P.S. lol.

  • are u Solid from the game css

  • since when is the wifi adapter called an airport card? and why do you have to be a paid computer specialist to know what it is?

  • @mikitymike The Mac WiFi-card is called Airport instead of WiFi, nab.

  • @ohoegseth Dumbass, airport is just a brand name, IT'S STILL WIFI, it is the same card as in any other laptop! Apple just calls it airport and then makes it 10 times more expensive.

  • @mikitymike Isn't that exactly what I said? Learn to read.

  • @ohoegseth oh my fuck you norwegians fucking suck

  • @mikitymike go to hell norwads rule bitch

  • @CallOfDutyAirsoft fuck you

  • fake animal abuse

  • Once you go Mac, you never go back.

  • @blicksflicks I got one for free, and hated it. It's sitting in my basement collecting dust. My PC is nice and comfy up here in my room.

  • @xG33Kx Yeah. I'm sure you have a Macbook Pro in your basement gathering dust. If you did, that would be pretty sad, because you could give it to someone else who doesn't have a computer. I saw the "cross" on your profile, and you say you're a Christian? Why not give the Macbook Pro away to someone who doesn't have a computer?

  • @blicksflicks If I had a macbook, I would give it away. What I have is a (barely) working iMac G3. I'm in the middle of nowhere, and don't know anyone who needs one. Learn to read. Also, stop stalking my profile, creeper.

  • @xG33Kx Oh, sorry. I guess I misunderstood what you were saying. And, I wasn't trying to stalk your profile. Sorry. lol

  • Because you forget how to actually use a computer?

  • @cloud123411 Not really. When you use a Mac, you learn how to use a real computer. A computer should be like a bicycle. It should move with you, not against you.

  • @blicksflicks I have used a Mac for sometime before getting frustrated with it. They are just TOO simple for me. They work against me in a big way. I prefer to use my Windows/Linux machine

  • Um, Duh, It is the airport card, the antenna wires are connected directly to it...

  • mac barely ever has a graphics card in there computer, when they do its a shitty ass small one believe me... and macs are a shitload overpriced i mean a macbook with great features costs 2300$ now i can buy the same thing in a pc for 900$

  • @Liechengsos1 "mac barely ever has a graphics card in there computer" This is just fail.

  • this to cables are the wifi antena, and the box was the wifi card

  • Don't feed the trolls! Thank you.

  • Where's the graphics card at?

  • its actually sometimes inside the screen or way way inside the mac

  • @SodaBurp It is UNder one of the fans, One fan is CPU, other is GFX Card

  • @SodaBurp It's under the right fan I believe, cpu fan is to the left.

  • The huge hole in the middle is the track pad sensor.

  • omg whats that big hole in the middle?

  • the battery compartment, ever considered that?

  • yeA thats airport card

  • u suck.

  • Got that right drummerkid1993.

  • see with the mac book pro there is nothing to be scared about. it's put together beautifully. so taking one apart is easy and it's the wireless/blue tooth card.

  • opening voids the warranty not just touching it

  • no it doesnt, like he said its if you break something. you can freely change the hard drive and RAM without voiding warranties on any mac.

  • no it doesnt. if you damage it when u open it, the warranty voids. you are aloud to open it to change the HD, RAM, or watev.

  • @mikelCold if yooure cayght

  • Aside from the battery, it looks much like any other notebook.

  • sick

  • yes thats the airport card

  • thanks for this video, my M.B pro was making some worrying noise's, glad to know it was a fan not my hard drive.

  • you dont need to touch anything in there to void the warranty, they can tell from the marks on the screw heads.

  • is that an sli bridge?

  • God no.

  • WTF ?!?!?!?!

  • find me a pc using hackintosh that actually works 100%. i doubt u will because theres always some drivers that will not be supported

  • I love how they sensor me for making a truthful statement. Typical...

  • Shows how they deal with differing opinion. As opposed to debating of the level of ideas.... they sink to the kernel level.

  • isn't the airport card inside that little rubber piece in the hinge of the screen? that rubber thing is to provide a place for the radio waves to enter... ala ipod touch. just my opinion

  • that thing you think is an airport card is a vidoe card boster thingy, i had one on my old hp laptop, and prety sure on this mac i got

  • How to I get dust out of the speaker holes?

    HELP! PLEASE!

  • Try a small handheld vacuum cleaner. Nothing too powerful, otherwise you'll end up sucking the keys from the keyboard.

  • it is how you say lol

  • Tis the airport card.

  • i think there is a cd stuck in my macbook is there any risk of removing the lid frm the cd drive to manually extract the disc because it is not ejecting when i push the eject button

  • Restart your mac and either click and hold the mouse click until it boots, or plug an actual apple mouse and hold the click down as you restart.

  • I love your accent.

  • 40C is about average, every laptop I've had have run at 38 - 42.

  • You would only void the warranty if damage were caused, as it would not be covered, unless you yourself have gone through Tier 2 CPU certification. In that case, you can touch an Apple anywhere you want :-)~

  • my macbook takes 8 seconds to startup.

  • slow

  • 110 is not hot for a laptop that is actually pretty cool

  • I love the big gap in the middle.

  • Well you got to put the battery somewhere. :)

  • You, sir, are a brave soul.

  • that looks so fancy :p

  • dammit hold the camera still!

  • you(emirilyasov) = epic fail.

  • no it doesn't

macs have the minimum of like 30 seconds to start up

  • my mac takes 17 seconds to start up.

  • if only we can change the graphic card for the macbook pro

    can we?

  • nah, there physically glued to the bottom of the mother board, and besides, why would you want to, there amazing, anything will run on them. there like 8600 geforce's

  • because you can customize it like that, your the idiot.

  • Thats the old macbook pro.

  • that is the airport card

  • ive tooched noothin

  • ha ha

  • well put

  • Who cares about voiding the warranty. what the point of having warranties anyway! Apples warranty it horrible and they question you so much and then end up telling you your product is broken and its your fault when really its a factory malfunction. OR..if they actually say that its a product defect they make you pay some money to replace it anyway!

  • you buy the warranty so that if there is a factory defect, you can get it replaced for FREE.

  • Yea it aint that easy. I have had to deal with apple twice dealing with a broken product and i had the full warranty for both and both times they made me pay money and alls i got was a refurbished replacement. Thats no good at all!!!

  • lol they changed by ipod with a new one eventhough my warranty was over.

They were able to answer to every questions and the people taht work for the customer service actually know what they are doing.

So, in my personal opinion Apple has the best customer service, not the same for microsoft or any other companies.

  • Good luck with your warranty...by the way, that is a bad case of sinus you've got there.

  • you should of put in a new hard drive in while you were at it...

how much did it cost you?

  • You have voided your warranty by opening your 17" up. But if you put it back together properly (no case bending/separation) you might get away with it. Also yep, that was your airport card.

    (ex-Apple drone here)

  • It doesnt matter if you touch anything in there the same goes for just about all computers. Open it and your warrantys gone... if apple finds out that is.

  • im not usally ignorant but ur fuckin stupid

  • ha, what apple don't know won't hurt them (;

  • k that did void ur warranty just to let u know

  • Ahh!!!

  • when u closed it did it work :O

  • ofcourse

  • just because you cant afford one

  • He just voided his warranty. Real bright, man. Doesn't matter. If you open the case up, you void your warranty.

  • I got dizzy looking at this...

    Horrible Camera Operator!

  • Man your camera work is totally shit!

  • the cabels what u show are the antenna of the airpot i think :S its the airport card

  • i've got a macbook and i want to see one of those like that

i no where the HD and RAM are but i want to see the rest of it

  • Dude your brave,i would never do that to my laptop lol. i hope you put everything back probley Lol

  • ya thats the airport card

  • At one time didn't Apple put light sensitive stickers inside their PCs to see if they were opened?

  • They did. Mine does at least. I dunno if his has them.

  • Yep! You got it, justin! He voids the warranty if it's opened. They'll know, too. I wouldn't dare open my Macbook Pro. Screw that! Man, I got an iSkin for a reason. I'm not going to remove the epiderms/dermis layer of my Macbook Pro and risk some piece of freaking dust sailing onto the board. I mean, there's lots of things that can get inside that thing!

  • From what I understand, most US states stipulate the manufacturer has to prove the problem was caused by the user in order to decline warranty service. It varies from state to state.
