At last she has found a worthy partner. Although the voice is not warm/lush, it is clear & intelligentkly used- sort of a Jerry Hadley meets N. Gedda. Lets hope they perform more together.

Both are good, but I prefer Beczala. He is very good with the Italian as well as the German roles. (Strauss, Mozart...)

Hmm, I'm not seeing what the fuss about Beczala is all about, he has a slightly choked quality. I think Calleja has far more freedom in his voice and is the preferrable Edgardo.
I quite like Netrekbo's voice, but it's not for Lucia at all.
I'm going to have to go with three stars, the notes were all there, but the fire wasn't.
I like the set quite alot though, gives a real sense of impending doom.
