if the rope breaks you'll sail gently down to the water. If the chute breaks off, you're screwed. They rarely ever sail on windy days, so you're not gonna fly anywhere to far, half a mile at the most.
i went parasailing in michigan on a some type of island! It was really fun, it's not even sacry!!! 800 feet!!! We touched the water too but it was only up till our legs!
in ocean city (maryland) its only $65, i just went up tody, they said that i was up 850 feet in the air!! dude but its super relaxing not scary at all
I was going to do this at Panama City Beach Florida, but the boat was always loaded down to the point it looked like it might sink!!! And the guy in charge looked stoned. . .I would do it though if I could find an uncrowded, reliable outfit :)

Actually they can go up to 1200 ft., or maybe thats just the rope length, but how does that moron tanman think they build skyscrapers, the workers dont wear oxygen tanks.
I was at the top of Mount Etna (10,922 ft) and breathing was slightly difficult especially for any physical exertion. But at rest my breathing was fine. The top of the empire state building is 1,250 ft
@markkulka55 Your wrong if you para-sail in the states like I have many places like Lake Havasu in Arizona for instance they only take you up 650 feet this guys boat and others working that area had it posted on there boat. When I go out of the country like Playa Bavaro they will give you 1200 and when the wind and condition put you almost directly above your boat. Most places in the US for insurance reasons limit how far up you can go. DUMB ASS

so false... how do skydivers breathe at 10,500? how do pilots of ultralight planes breathe at 10,000 feet? 1000 feet of rope isnt alot, my first parasailing trip was at 1000 feet. "nice try"
Thats true, people think it is higher though because the companys always ask if you want like 400ft, 250ft, and stuff like that but that is the length of rope and the rope is doubled on itself
