that album is arguably the best thing grohl or killing joke have ever done...maybe ever will do. it's pretty much untouchable. he should play drums with them for every album.
dear tripledouble or whoever, It's not a dope song you dumbass. It's a story straight out of the bible. Killing Joke is a prophetic metal/rock band. The whole album is political. Do some research before you open you're mouth.
I am probably the only person in the world who doesn't think Grohl is anything special. Everyone is always on his nuts about how great a drummer he is, but I've never heard anything in his drumming that was distinctive or interesting enough to make me take note.
@witchsphere -I own this KJ album, and it's really not my favorite KJ album. But my point was that DG's drumming doesn't really stand out in any way that makes me say to myself, this is very distinctive and impressive. Same goes for the drums on "Songs For the Deaf" by QOTSA (which is an album I like very much.) As for Grohl... well, I never liked the Foo Fighters, and Nirvana was pretty much all about Cobain. So... apparently I'm missing something, since everyone seems to admire his work.
So did Dave do drums for the whole album? It would be neat if he did on "You'll Never Get To Me". I would have more respect for the song than I did before. Love that song.
What an unbelievably awesome drummer! The guy just blends in with anything. Who would have ever known he would have been playing for KJ after Nirvana?
How can misogyny (yes, that's the correct spelling) be casual? Idiot.
Also, on a different note, it's pretty obvious he helped them out because years back Nirvana totally ripped off their riff from 80's and only just missed being sued over it. He owed them really.
@TripleDouble Remember the song Metallixa covered on 'Garage Days Revisited'-can't remember if it was 'Green Hell'-'or 'the Small Hours'<though I'm thinking this one.I saw KJ so long ago-showing my age, born in 72!Then again ive been playing drums for over half my life if ya start at 'offical' teaching in 6th grade.
he did it to help promote them because he thought they were really good and were going to be something... obviously he was right been qotsa are fucking sickkkk
man i love watching dave behind the scenes with this kind of stuff. He's such a great song writer, so it's amazing to see the process by which he goes about that sort of thing.

Killing Joke should steal a Nirvana riff.

there aren't any worth stealing lol Geordie is original which is more than can be said for kurt

@witchsphere Well, supposedly, someone from Nirvana stole Killing Joke's "Eighties" riff. I don't actually think it's so. I was just being silly.

weird that they would collab because killing joke tried to sue nirvana over "come as you are" because they said it sounded like their song "eighties"
