HP is the worst product you could choose to buy. Bought a laptop, was sucked into an extended warranty payment. There is no warranty in reality. Had a mother board replaced, then 3 screens replaced. So within the warranty period I have had 4 screens total. Finally the warranty expires and the screen I have is still f----d.
This company has no customer service and treat you like s--t.
Don't buy HP, you will actually save money if you don't. I am not connected with the poster POZFRA33.
if you wanna get a hp TP than the only place you can get one is ebay or amazon because HP just made a new product and they sold em all for $99 and its usuly $500-$600 bucks!!! they dont make hp touchpads anymore so once there gone on amzon and ebay, there gone for good so get 1 now!!!!!!!!!!!
@Costerguy1234556 dude, i got mine of ebay for $99 bucks!!! if i was gonna pay 500 bucks for that.... i would buy a ipad 2 instead. there not worth 500 bucks i know, i agree with u, but i got mine for a good deal, so i got it!!!
I love my TP. The only complaint I could possibly have is about the browser that is sometimes annoying - and a lack of apps - but I am not much into apps - so that does not matter. Now that it is open source, there is so much more possibilities for it. I have Android on it, but not much of an Android fan unless it has like HTC's overlay! But Android takes care of the app "issue." The keyboard and video playback rocks on TP!
@lensie94 If it does I doubt it's any good. I bought a bluetooth keyboard for it which also acts as a stand. I am going to use this for school. Much more convenient than a laptop.
can you check your youtube messages on it please please please please reply i reALLY WANT TO KNOW BECAUSE IM GETTING one and i really need it to check them please reply
The only place you can get then in the UK is Argos but they are £400 which is a lot, I found one less than that but it's still over the £100 mark dunno if it worth it. But I want one really bad ever since I seen it
@oAndeee80 their second price drop was their last stock, they're not making anymore. but people always sell on craigslist and ebay so try your luck there
Hi,I have a choice of 1 between 3 different tablets for Christmas;a Vizio VTAB1008,a 32gb HP Touch,or a 32gb Blackberry Playbook.I you my PCs for mostly music(as I am a musician) and a little Youtube and video as well.My question is,which one would you suggest as being the best for this? Also, which one has the best sounding and loudest speakers in order of 1 to 3? Thanks.
@MobileTechReview Thanks.I found an ebay seller that has both the 32gb for $215.00 and the 64gb for $340.00,brand new.I think I'll splurge for the 64 gig.
@SelenaGomezFan972 I would say no. I've bought one when HP was having their fire sale. It's a nice decent tablet, but with Black Friday coming up, Best Buy just announced that they're selling 16GB/32GB Blackberry Playbooks for $200/$239 each which I find is a much better alternative. I'm going to sell my HP Touchpad once I pick up my Playbook tomorrow.
@MobileTechReview Sure! So I have a question. I am currently using a honeycomb tablet. One BIG drawback for me is that I can't open multiple pdf or document files at once. I am using it for school work, and in order for me to open say, 3 pdf files, I need 3 different pdf reader apps. I once saw a review of the hp touchpad, and that guy said you can compose more than 1 emails at the same time, and can switch back and forth. So I thought, maybe you can do that for pdf too! Is this true? TIA!
Hi, I am looking for one of this ones on Ebay and I have a low budget, would you suggest that I invest more money on an iPad or just stick with this one? I am not business man, just want to read email, play games and carry around some movies, music and some movies or series
so they say... I bought mine from somebody, who decided to get 32gb version (mine in a 16gb one). I play with my new HP toy and have loads of fun. at this moment you can get quite a lot of apps in HP store, so I try them, install, uninstall, look for new ones... and when it gets boring I still can install android system on my TouchPad - there is a whole community of people who tried this and are satisfied with this solution. so you see - discontinuing doesnt bother me much:-)
The OS of this tablet (WebOS) is better than the android, (onmly the OS cost 100 US) no? so now in amazon this tablet cost 260 US, a fire sale for all people than want to buy this tablet
I'm in the USA and I just got my 32 gig for $149 USA dollars :-) after 4 weeks it came from PC Richards. its cool, but for the price is above cool :-)
Hi Lisa, I just purchased my HP TouchPad 32gb on Amazon.com for $277. I just didn't think I would be able to get one once they do become available again online or off-line. Do you think this was a good deal. I did impulse shopping but was torn for days before buying it. It's being shipped Fedex and I should have it delivered to my workplace by Wednesday.
@Malice513 next wednesday hp is shipping out more tablets for the 100 dollar and 150 dollar prices at retailers...so no it was not smart to pay that price
@paulieslew Now do you honestly think the supply will be out for everyone who wants one, though? I didn't think I stood a chance. I am sure once the word is out, by the time I would get to a store- they would surely be gone.
@Malice513 They just decided to not ship out any more touchpads again so yeah I guess $277 is the best you're going to get. They were going to make more, but decided to hold it off :(
@paulieslew Are you serious, Paulieslew?? I haven't heard that report at all. I was tempted to try to get a $99 one and jack up the price for profil- like I had happen to me! lol
If HP is discontinuing all webOS hardware, will it have a more limited range of apps, or data? i always hear different things... I really want to know what it means, because i'm thinking of getting this tablet.
When I use skype, It usually works fully with other touchpads. If someone's on their computer skyping, they can't hear me. Do you know how to fix that?
@TheHayden56 You really can't use it daily with USB charging. You can just get an Australian power prong to charge it via AC. The power charger is worldwide compatible.
very very nice. im liking this more and more. sitll can't wait until bestbuy or anybody in my area has them in stock. i called over 15 bestbuys to ask them about the hp touchpad but still nobody has it. we just gotta wait. Keep up the good work. :)
@XfarglesX Really? Go find a store with one in stock.
The only way to buy one now is buying and selling sites like ebay or craigslist. New Touchpads there sell for $250or more, You'll get the occasional one at 170 to 220 dollars, but that's if you're lucky. Almost all touchpads are sold out in retail stores, and people won't start selling NEW ones for 100 dollars for years.
@Hellscope1 sorry but wrong again, HP is still selling. Check their site "coming soon" means more are coming. They have to fulfill contracts with manufactures etc. Or this is all a publicity stunt because if you look at the buy direct page it says this "We have received unprecedented orders as a result of the tremendous discount offered. This is clear confirmation to HP there is huge interest in building a webOS community... it was as a result of selling out of our *current inventory*."
@XfarglesX They are going to be putting the rest of their inventory in stores. Unless you are one of the lucky few that is up at 5 am on the random day stores restock and start selling the last of them, I wouldn't expect grabbing one after 11 am.
This video is AWESOME! The best review of almost ALL the tablet reviews I have seen. Hey, does the tablets market have something my mom can read books on?
the 32GB are going for $149.00 right now if you can still find it, HP is ditching webOS but it should be possible to replace the OS with Android if you want (I do). I couldnt find it at my local stores, looked all over online and the cheapest i found on stock was the 32GB for $219-new, so I nabbed it. i like the screen on the galaxy tab better, but for ~$200 you cant beat this tab
I watched this review a few days ago and I thought it was really good and so I'm back to watch it again because I'm thinking about buying one now that HP is having it's fire sale. My only concern with the product is, if there's any kind of an issue with the tablet that would require a firmware upgrade to fix, then I'm screwed cause ain't no more firmware updates coming. So essentially I'd be wasting my money.
Iv'e been looking for a good review of this tablet, and all other reviews were either bias or didnt talk about what i wanted to here. Best review of the product I have seen! Thanks!!
Fantastic review! I've heard that HP has more TouchPads in their warehouses and will be selling them at the discounted price later this week. Any truth to that??
@Bang0r only to those who ordered aug 20&21 when inventory went out. Those who did would have received an confirmation email. But if you didnt get a chance to order it then no. Thats what customer service told me
Hopefully Cynogen Mod will progress and make this a more widely supported tablet.
