If its a requirement for illegals then it should be for all citizens and no accommodations should be made to participate in a PRIVILEGE such as driving.
Don't get me wrong, It could not be stated more directly or conclusively that citizens of the states have a common law right to travel, without approval or restriction (license), and that this right is protected under the U.S Constitution, but until the unconstitutional laws regarding licensing are repealed it will remain only a privilege. If i knew this in my youth i would have never got a license to begin with and fought any tickets on constitutional grounds.
If you must speak English to become a citizen you should have no problem dealing with a drivers test in English ONLY. If you are the son/daughter of a LEGAL immigrant then by driving age you should be able to speak English because Non English speaking children are required to take English as a class. In looking at this issue it easy to see that the only people affected by English only testing at the DMV would be illegals who are already breaking our laws by being here.
Now, as for candidate Tim James all i can say is "do your homework Alabama". There are too many puppets out there who have spent there whole life at being/becoming career politicians. Any politician who is making a career out of it is obviously not in it to serve the people, only to serve their own agenda, whatever that agenda may be. Those individuals need to go and we need to ensure they stay gone through term limits on all public offices.
