I am impressed with the interviewer's manners and respectful attitude. And the more I hear and read Oswald's own words, the more he sounds like a guy running his own show and telling his own lies. This is no patsy.
"Eventually-Communist"this is a give away that Oswald was a staunch believer in communism ideology. Communism for Marxists is Heaven to the believers in God, achieved through Marxism. The Soviets used to say, "thank-you for calling us communists. But we haven't achieved that state as of yet, we are merely socialists." Desai UBNY '80.... A plant could mimic a true communist. In LHO case, I think he was the real deal. He was, however, shocked when he realized he wasn't the only shooter in Dallas.
lol give me a fuckin break. If it was that serious they would have had an assistant slip him a pill in his coffee that would cause him to have a heart attack, leaving no trace.
@AntonBatey Very good thinking. If the government wanted to assassinate JFK quietly they would have done something like that. Not shoot him with a rifle in a crowded plaza.
Well, listening to LHO debate his ideas, ideals and the scope of the Fair Play For Cuba Committee, wether he was an US intelligence agent or not, he really delivers. He doesn't strike me like a lunatic on a distruction path. He is quite cliear when discussing what he stands for and what the goal of his activities are. Personally I believe, knowing Oswalds background, his alleged defection to the USSR etc., that he was a US intelligence officer. And I'm fully convinced that he was just a patsy.
PLEASE. As the 2 KGB agents that defected to the US said ("Beyond Conspiracy", 2003) Oswald was under a microscope from the second he arrived in the USSR. They viewed ANYONE defecting to the Soviet Union (That act incredibly rare) as a potential spy.
What was he there for in his capacity as a US intellegence officer? How the Soviets made transistor radios?
Oswald barely had 2 nickels to rub together, living in an $8/ week room. You wants to say he was a CIA officer AND a patsy with ZERO proof.
Oswald went to the Soviet Union in 1959, passing through France, England & Finland en route, spending two and a half years there but he never mentioned that when talking about his life or his knowledge of a Russian black market? He's a fascinating character. Great posting.
batey, your repulsive excuse for the "timely" NEGATIVE & CHILDISH SOUNDS ONLY "STRENGTHENS" OSWALD'S POSITION. ENJOY, BUT T LEAST OWN YOUR "BSHIT." PUSSY!
Yes, Oswald was quite intelligent and well-read. Listening to this puts a voice to Lee, something the fairy tale Warren report and the media(controlled by the government, so it only stands to reason)did not do as it was easier to paint him as a malcontent bent on making a place for himself in history, a flawed individual who resented everyone and one who failed at everything.
It is plain to see this man was very knowledgeable about Central American and Russian affairs for a man that never had been anywhere, other than the United States and Mexico. It is my personal opinion and that of many others that this man was in the CIA or some other clandestine American intelligents agency that educated him in the current events and policies of the governments of the western hemisphere. Very unusual recording. Good Audio except a few weird noises through out. Very insightful.
I don't think there any credible evidence that Oswald was CIA. Of all the research I've done on the subject, they only strange think I keep thinking about it the 531 Lafayette St/544 Camp Street connection. Also, on September 17th, 1963, Oswald went to the Mexican Consulate and got permit number 24085 for a 15 day tourist permit. The interesting part is that number 24084 belonged to William Gaudet -- someone who DID have established connections to the CIA.

The ultimate patsy. They were planning the assasination as early as 2 years before that fateful day.

@AntonBatey That would have been too easy. A 'communist' killing him was pure gold - it gave them all the ammunition to continue the war in Vietnam.

Oswald was innocent. Aliens from Pluto actually planned and carried out the assassination.

Oswald's CIA agent payroll number was 110669.
This factoid was later retracted.
In September 1962, he went to work for the FBI as a $200-per-month informant (Warren Commission executive session, January 27, 1964).
Several witnesses saw LHO at a CIA-Cuba training camp just before it was raided and shut down by the FBI.
Perhaps (conjecture) he was seen as a traitor to the CIA, which is how some in the CIA viewed JFK.

I believe that the HSCA saw a film of LHO & Ferrie at that training camp.
