@MrKarpote Hi there, I liked the hardness and coldness of the drum machine they used in the early days, it contrasted so well with the wailing guitars and
Lizs amazing yodeling vocals, good to hear from you my friend :)
So back in the days, it was Cocteau Twins embryo so promising. Had to become my ever favourite band in the world. Rythm box, so ethered guitar effects, unreal bass lines, never heard voices. Just unspeakable. I just love you the three you were, thank you so very much.
And now that you live in France, merci beaucoup à vous trois, vous m'avez fait rêver (thanks to all you three, you made me fly). Long live Scotland !
p.s. sorry if I'm not replying to any comments, but i'm all wiped-out[dandyclockd] of all reactions over here. This really bums me out [pardon my French-American] cos i really
love them all...even the what's?- those really make me laugh.
@shum65 Well frankly I've had the best-of CD for ages and had written them off as a happier version of Dead Can Dance ever since, but thanks to your clips I got to know this album, and I'm loving that unexpected vibe of utter desolation. Great visuals by the way. Cheers
Hallo shum65:) I just wont to tell You- You making very good films. Is not just colour pictures. I see You trying hard and making artist video. And I like this my friend (sorry about my anglish). :)

Will always be a fan! The Twins work is brilliant! My favorite is still Victorialand. They kind of lost me with Four Calender Cafe. And I hated when they changed label's and they wanted Liz to change her singing style for the masses. Have all CT's albums and colaborations. Even with Felt. And I still love DCD too!
Hi Mate, yeah, love "Victorialand" dreamy and groundbreaking, yet so underrated.... Checkout my videos for all that LP... Got my mix also for Felt ft Liz...on video... You sound like me,my friend, buying just about everything connected with the band. DCD was such a brill project "Song to the Siren" "Another Day" pure classics...!! Must admit, I to,loved Lizs unrecognisable vocals, from another plannet...brilliant..!! Have a great weekend mate......
This is a joke, Zombie, but I always thought somewhere in this CT song Liz is singing "God is of a green forgetting no greens... I keep dying in rosary..." Don't be mad, but it's funny, I used to honestly "tune it", and I was probably sounding really silly! I do love this song a lot and it is a very gritty-but-poignant song (and with a "lonely, but beautiful mystery to it!")... It's like a lullaby or a riddle "wrapped up" in angst!
I'll be dying in rosary ... I'm with these girl scouts face colors my face colors I'm not a dancer I am a dancer gotta save green forgetting in no green try to see me drunk I'll be dying in rosary ... (that's the american version) Ps. zombie -- GO MAKE MUSIC INSTEAD OF OBSESSING ABOUT IT -- I do -- it really helps honestly mat LIGHTEN UP. : )
I get so pissed looking at posts about their music!!! How dare anyone think they know what Liz is singing, you dont!!!! I've listened to some of their tracks hundreds and hundreds of times and it changes everytime....its fun trying to sing along, failing everytime, but still fun...
Hey Shum65! I changed my user name 'cause I never liked it, so I added this video of yours as the first video favorite on my new account. The problem is, when I look up my old account name, smacktalker1, it shows no listings, but anyway, my new username, well, you already know that after I make a post, so never mind. If you have any suggestions as to how to retrieve my other account so I can favorite my old stuff, please let me know. Talk to ya later!
I really like Cocteau Twins, and enjoy this album a lot. That said, I think you guys are over-rating it a bit. To me, Head over Heels, Treasure and Heaven or Las Vegas triumph over the likes of Garlands. Shum65, you've stated that everyone here has good taste, and I'm sure they do, as liking Cocteau Twins is a sure sign of good taste. But hey, what else do you listen to?
Oh my old times here in Brazil....I love so much Cocteau...

My friends laugh at me because I never pay attention to lyrics. I remember the sound. Voice is an instrument.

Hi mate..I never notice lyrics either, as you
say, the voice is an instrument, filled with
passion,and emotions.....

This is sooo cool. Garlands is such an awesome sound. Brings back memories of cruising in my truck at night.
sightsound7 2 years ago
Your right mate, I love Garlands..both the
single and the album are awesome.....!!
Every track is an adventure in soundscape
Memories indeed my friend....
Happy New Year to ya.....!!!

Hi bigbigman my friend..someone told me
it always sounded like "Diana Rossary"
and thats stuck in mind ever-since....
Its not of course, but its so funny when
people try to guess what the words are.
Cheers mate, good to hear from ya...
Have a top Christmas.....!!!
