just to highlight another vector of this pandemic that I'm no doubt infected with, tho undiagnosed, it's actually "in regard to" I believe (since regards is either a closing salutation, like "warm regards," or a verb form, how I remember the difference only learned relatively recently myself)...
Yes it's infected the language centers of my brain to that extent... the wordNERD variant, oy? :-)

USA must grow up and drop the imperial units.. . though it will never happen.
Now i suffer it personally with confusion "what is a fluid ounce?? arghh" since moving to TX.

Not at all, just an observation I made when a student asked if we could drink our cell culture media (officially, yes but not recommended!).
Us Americans are a stubborn crowd, I don't see it happening soon.
