  • I remember seeing a 58 Packard in 1958. I pointed it out and my father muttered something under his breath and made a face. People who remembered Packard in its glory never forgave Studebaker for what they did to it. Now they look interesting.

  • Gawd, another Packardbaker! At least the '56s had real Packard engines...although Stude's were better!

  • sweet exhaust tips

  • It was made when cars were made and they cared about quality, style and you got what you paid for. It is very cool. I would have drove that car home from where ever I bought it.

  • Thanks for avoiding showing the front end of this otherwise nice car. What they did to the front end was just unforgivable.

  • Bite your tongue! I think the front end looks great -- much better than the Studebaker Hawks, since that upright grill always looked like it had been stuck on those cars as an afterthought. It just didn't fit with the cars' lines. This one did, even if it does look like a catfish.

  • Great video!! Great car!! annoying music !!

    thanks for posting

  • Packards and Studebakers of this vintage have always been my favourites.

  • awesome cars !

  • really neat car, i enjoy see cars like these that you dont see everyday, if ever. i also like the song. does anyone know the name and artist?

  • when he poped the hood was that an ac compressor up top?

  • nope that was the super charger. these cars along with the studebaker golden hawk were all supercharged

  • It's a McCulloch V-57 centrifugal supercharger.

  • fuck thatt NOISE!!!!!!

  • Nicely done, many people think this car is butt ugly, I myself self find that its quite uniqe. I got to ride in one at the age of

15, and now at the age of 48 I bought # 211 from California and am restoring her. I hope others can appreciate the beauty of these cas from your video

  • My father had one of these cars and he got rid of it about 15 years ago. He bought the car in 63 I believe. I knwo he would go on and on about it being one the few left in the world. The garage had burnt in 80 or 81 The car itself was out at the body shop at the time. He had lost all the trim pieces in the fire and we spent years trying to find replacements that turned out to be impossible. He loved that car. I have to show him your video.

  • Well done documentary capturing all the excitement about a new Packard in the driveway! Excellent musical backdrop for this last of the marque classic!

  • A real cool car, regardless of what most Packard "purists" will admit to. That one appears to be in great shape.....even the gold mylar inserts in the fins! I'd love to own one of these if I could find (afford) one!!! Enjoy it!!!!!!!!!

  • good video

  • i love those cars. i have a 58 packard 2 ht. not the hawk. it is just called packard hardtop. hope to see more of your car. thanks

  • Nice car! Maybe next time you can show the front end which is quite different than the regular Studebaker Hawks.
