I really loved the "Everybody Knows" song he used for the show's intro and this song after Malcolm died (first you shit your shorts LOL). I tried to buy the soundtrack, but it had different artists covering the songs and wasn't a 'true' soundtrack. Thanks to Google I now know the original was Leonard Cohen.

I just saw him in concert, yesterday actually, and this moment of the show was pure magic...his Chorists, the Webb sisters, perform this song with their two angel's voices and just an harp and a guitar, it was wonderful. One of the greatest show of my life. Actually, one of the greatest moment of my life!!

In fact, there is no real backup singer. On this 1984 version on Various Position, the co-singer is Jennifer Warnes who is listed with Cohen in the singer section, not with the backing vocals. On the 2009 Live in London version, the song is performed by the Webb Sisters, Charley (guitar) and Hattie (harp). Sharon Robinson appears on Boogie Street on this same Live in London and definitely demonstrates her gifted talents.

I had lost track of his works until about 2002, and when I heard him again, I could barely recognize his voice, but when I realized it was him singing, I was quite happy with his well-aged, mellow tones. And that must be Jennifer Warnes singing backup, I think she's the best backup singer he's ever had. God, what I would give to sing with him, just once!
