South Asia is logically the ultimate origin of M17 and sure enough we find the highest rates and greatest diversity of the M17 line in India, and eastern Iran, and low rates in the Caucasus. M17 is not only more diverse in South Asia than in Central Asia. All this suggests that M17 found his way initially from India, through Kashmir, then via Central Asia and Russia, before finally coming into Europe.”

This is another Indian migration into europe..called the Gypsie
@axishp93 this is a religious practice, they are repeating rituals and prayers around the Sacred Fig (Peepal, Ficus religiosa) tree. These practices and prayers are from current times, almost all Hindus in India consider Sacred fig as holy tree and pray to it.
I refrain from boasting about my culture, but seeing this clip, I sure am glad I belong to this culture! I just never realized that Rajasthani Folk Music was so beautiful :-)
Back in the early 70's our clique went on a "Bones" trip. Many of us made and carried our own set of Bones. But not one of us could play them like the guy in this scene!
Helo maro sambhro ranuja na raja ajmal ji nah beta! ohh ji oh maro helo sunaje Rama pir!
This is a song to the Hindu saint Ramdev Pir of Rannuja! He was a aristocrat and a great saint! :)

I'm in love with the man who sings the solo (beginning at 5:34). This has always been my favorite part of "Latcho Drom".

Gypsies are the direct descendants of the original Aryan tribes that invaded India so long ago.
