@Euclides287 If you think that is cheating, then you could say that about all 12 cars on the grid this year, and all F1 cars ever made in the history of the sport. They all have devices that are illegal to the wording of the rules, but because the device pass the test, it is legal in the real world. And in F1, that is the only thing that matters.

If they all made the cars within the so called "spirit of the rules" it wouldn't be F1 any more. It is what the technical side of F1 is all about.

If you look carefully you can see Vettal's front wing lift up slightly as as it looses its grip in turbalent air, then the car starts to slide - even the great Vettal must mess up sometime!

@m93dape it didn't under-steer, it oversteerd and he lost all he's control. a example : you turn you steering wheel 90 degrees the car will only turn at 45, when you oversteer you turn 45 degrees and the car will obviously loss gripp and turn more than 45 ;)

IMO it gives good sense that he got little oversteer because he tried to overtake and brake but he couldnt handle it because as he got half car out of buttons draft car changed properties and not symetricaly. Also I mean in that corner it was wet.

@m93dape the reason he has little control over the car is simply because the front wing becomes unloaded. At such high speed the unsettled front wing will automatically give the driver very little feel for the front of the car hence it was as if the car looks to oversteering.

@m93dape One of the other major factors is the the amount of slip buttons car was giving off, remember the rear diffusers on the cars were designed to push air up, hence making a nonsense of the front of vettels car as soon as he moves back into 'stationary' air. Not bad driving just bloody unlucky physics. And like our friend 'laggerSVK' says its was also wet again reducing the braking capabilities of the front wing.

@m93dape no ghe car understeered because he was up behind button. the front wing only works when theres air flow causing high pressure over the top of it and low pressure uinderneath it. because buttons car was displacing the air at such a high extent, vettels front wing was essentially driving in a vaccum and not creating any downforce

I agree with Gareth. The movement of the front wing would disturb the balance of grip on the front tyres under braking so to say this was all Sebs fault would be ridiculous. If this was Hamilton you would all be singing a completely different tune and don't pretend otherwise.

@m93dape no, the fact he was following jenson so close meant he had the understeer. the oversteer was caused by his rapid change of direction and the front wing suddenly producing probably 4x more aerodynamic grip to the front wheels because he pulled out of what F1 calls as "the turbulent air"
