  • We are having the housing powdercoated right now and getting new brushes for it. We want to be able to notify the community in the event of a major incident, i.e. a wildland fire. Having grown up in the '50's it's pretty cool to hear that haunting sound again. Makes me want to duck and cover under a school desk!

  • WOW! I remember this siren on Vista station 1 way back in the 60's...i think Vista was still volunteer then and dispatched by North Coast Dispatch (later was JPA/Rancho fire and now NORCOM )...Great hearing this again!
