  • And again, I come to the end of this album. It may not be so much about this song, but the feeling I get from the album. I'm a person who's very detached from the world, I can't relate to much. After all these years I haven't listen to this album with the lyrics, but I just somehow know that it speaks to me. It's the tone. Every time this song just shatters me. It's like the rest of the album is making me as weak as it can, then this, just destroys me.

  • @arlinkingmartin i agree. one of the most powerful albums i've ever heard

  • Once again, I must state that this is one of the most beautiful songs ever created.

  • Quite possibly one of the most beautiful songs that I know of.

  • 5:35

  • This is obviously Prog Post-Blackgaze. Whats wrong with you people

  • what a great song, the lyrics are powerful

  • 5:18

  • This reminds me of a more alt-rock Jesu

  • Of course Spotify wouldn't have this.

Of course Pitchfork wouldn't review this.

What's not to get about Post-Rock?

  • @chrisshavard Post-rock? More like shoegaze / noiserock.

  • @Bzong Noise rock is aggressive. This is not aggressive. If you're going to genre-argue get your shit straight.

  • @WarGoatForestWolf666 This album as a whole has elements of noise-rock. I don't feel like arguing with someone bitter. Don't reply again since I won't respond to that.

  • forget it this is a kind of song not to enjoy the music at all but its just passenger you never understand hows the music composedi felt my stomach moving alone and the anxity was so gone.and i smoked pot that makes nervous thanks for relaxing me \m/

  • Wonderful sound!!!!

  • Shoegazer music at its finest. Sounds like a male version of Lush.

  • "We wish we were dead"

    Shit made me cry.

  • track of the year, all years.

  • @ot63 i wholeheartedly agree

  • first time i heard this band, i thought it was unique, but shit.

second time i heard it, i was like woah

  • tUMULt was supposed to reissue it a while back ago, I don't know if anything has happened since then.

  • @igorsson

Enemieslist just reissued the deathconsciousness vinyl for $30 dollars.

  • @igorsson I heard somewhere it was released in 2008?! I really want this album...So far I've just converted all their songs to mp3 from YouTube, but the quality isn't that great and I have OCD with music quality.

  • @jpatc4 It doesn't really exist in high quality, I'm afraid. They lost the material in a computer crash, so the album in composed of older back-up copies, which they couldn't even mix.

  • @Skarstad

I cant find words to express how ridiculous that is

(which I suppose expresses how ridiculous it is).

  • @jpatc4

It costs $5 to download the whole album off the Enemies List website. Quit being so goddamn cheap!

  • @jpatc4 There's FLAC torrents out there if you care about quality. Downloading from YouTube is a no-go.

  • sigur ros meets grunge HAHAHA what a comment. anyway, this song's as massive as it is unforgettable. i think they managed to do what gybe was trying to do with f#a#infinity even better with deathconsciousness. kudos to them.

  • @agentoranges Except not really. They are barely even comparable......

  • @metalmatthias i never said they were similar stylistically, f#a#infinity had an apocalyptic theme to it, i feel this album expresses those dreadful feelings much more effectively

  • One of the best songs I've ever heard.

  • This may be one of the greatest albums of all time. At least, in my book it is.

  • favorite song from them :)

  • este tema me hace k me pegue a el jajajajja lo cual es BUENO

  • One of my all time favourite songs. The "ending" is flippin mental.

  • @theyoungfucks Are you fucking deaf?

  • The drums sound...old schoooool....

  • @nilzardo yeah, alesis drum machine old skool.

  • It's like a heavy godspeed you black emperor. gorgeous

  • Isn't it great? Noise is the best thing that ever happened to music.

  • 5:22

    Jesus Christ...

  • @VinterVandring

    I second this.

  • i got it the second time.

  • @flom54321

were you even listening the first time?

  • Those of you who don't like this probably never will...you either get it the first time or never

  • This really hit me the first time. I've listened to almost all of the other tracks but this one, and I think the climax in this one is by far the best... Just amazing.

  • @LiftYourSkinnyFist

    I dig your username

  • Thanks xD GY!BE fan I take it.

  • i like it. especially the first 2 minutes.

probably too long and repetitive to hold my interest though.

seriously though the first 3 minutes are pretty epic.

its like Sigur Ros meets grunge :D

  • /shutter. Don't compare Sigur Ros to them.

  • @LiftYourSkinnyFist

    why not?

  • @flom54321

I personally don't like them, but you can not make a comparison between these two bands. Stylistically, they are not the same so to even make a comparison is just.. Unjustifiable.

  • @LiftYourSkinnyFist

    chea right foo.

I can definitely make a comparison. if there are aspects of emotion, expression, or w.e that are similar in two bands, then i can make a comparison whether or not they are in the same style. unjustifiable my ass.

  • @flom54321 Completely unjustifiable ;D
