  • I started playing street fighter on sf4, third strike is a lot better, but WHY DOES AKUMA's raging demon have to be twice more difficult to do on third strike than it does on sf4!?!?!??! i guess capcom made sf4 a little easier for new players by making supers/ultras a little easier to do

    I don't know the specifics, but I agree. I mean, c'mon, it's a Dreamcast.

  • Raging Demon is your casual super art.

    Kara Demon is a guaranteed Raging Demon because the f.mp sets up a block trap on the opponent, once the demon is activated, they're still in blocking frames.

  • Eventhubs thank you so much, this made my Akuma way better, i pulled it off like my 6th try :) Now i get it mostly every time i go for it, oh and i'm using a dreamcast :)

  • @saberj2x your opponent can anticipate and start jumping if they see u jabbing (attempting to do demon) this one hides the jabs and the overhead sometimes is too hard to react too....so basically it hides the jabs so ure opponent wont know when u will do the Kara Demon

  • Take a look at 0:54, I believe he's using his middle and index fingers to piano the jab button.

  • The move is nice and all and difficult to do, but shouldn't be able to catch any decent to good player.

  • It grabs instantly so you can't jump out it, and it's better than not being able to catch anyone at all with that super :P It becomes natural after a few hours.

    You can catch people with it if your mixup game is good, as shown by high-level players.

  • Lol you clearly haven't played against anyone who has mastered the Kara demon. Anyone who is decent to good would have a first reaction of parrying or blocking an overhead......After which it's basically game.

  • Dude, i think you didn't understandqhat are you talking about...

    That's a Kara Shun Goku Satsu, it shows a punch animation before that gets the opponent off guard (without showing you doing jabs in the air) and have more range due to canceling the normal punch.

    it's an amazing video and you should be grateful of being able to see it.

  • @CrazyChimpmonk Not in SFIV you can plink making it easier... you can literally go F-MP+LP+LP -> LK+HP and get a Kara Demon

    I can do it on controller. It is all about personal preference. Only reason why pros use an arcade stick most of the time is because they grew up playing these games in the arcade.

  • @TheGlowingKnight Unfortunately I don't believe either of you. I can dash demon but the input to kara demon is too fast. Through my experience its just not possible on pad. In attempting anything difficult ever, I have at least pulled it off once....one frame links on pad, other demon set ups, ect. I have never done a kara demon ever. If you can do it however describe your method and please don't say "do it fast"....I am plenty fast on pad

  • You're retarded, f+MP doesn't link into a demon.. do you even know what a link is?

    Kara demon: F-MP LP LP DF LK HP

    f+MP = Gives extra startup RANGE so that the demon grabs them immediatly making it unescapable with proper setup

    the Down forward counts as a FORWARD input since you were holding forward for the f+MP all you do is shift to Down forward and it still counts as forward input (to activate the demon)

    True Kara Demon = All inputs camoflauged within f+MP with the added range from it.

  • I find it bit easier to just roll the stick to the down position than keeping it at down-forward. Just a tip for the new people learning the Kara demon.

  • lp lp > lk hp is the Raging demon, this is a little different. for anyone that understands the flaw of the raging demon, you know y this is different.

    in basic terms, you can cancle a regular move (medium punch) with a special, such as the raging demon. most pros will normally jump over raging demon, so the feint gets most people to block, or attempt a perry, but by that time, the raging demon is already out, and it's too late to retaliate. only seen this done once at the arcade, works great

  • After doing both the kara raging demon and the normal raging i really dont see any difference.

  • Since he does the medium punch command before entering the demon input, he basically cancels that downward chop (Gouki's M. Punch) into a demon. Basically your opponent see's it as a medium punch so they figure just block it, so when its cancelled into the raging demon even though your blocking as you can see the move still lands.

  • its like a kara throw, its gives him more distance to it, normally even at point blank distance u can jump out but the kara demon allow u to hit it from a slight distance so its much more useful, if ur planning on learning akuma, def learn this technique

  • Your opponent can't jump out of a kara demon point-blank. However, without the kara cancel, your opponent can.
