  • @737mattman, the reason for the triangle knockout is to create enough space to insert the cutting head of the saw, so you can cut through the angle iron or bottom rail of the door that provides structural strength where the bottom panel touches the ground. Inserting the fork of the halligan under the rail will usually lift it enough to be cut without running composite blade into the ground, risking damage that would prevent completing the horizontal cut.
