  • Rumor has been, before Nissan came out with the 350Z they were working on a 2.4L (KA?) with over 200hp. Reviving the old 240Z was their original plan. Making a 200+hp KA NA theoretically is not impossible and has been proven to be viable. Coupling the fact you can bring the chassis down to the 2K range would make it a formidable rice rocket.

  • 200whp is a difficult feat if you dont know what you are doing. greaser is making that with a stock bottom ka24de. and i am confident in a couple of years my ka24de will be making this power quite easily.

  • greaser has spent a shit-ton of time and money getting it to barely 200whp...i would consider that difficult. The car is not streetable in 200whp trim. trust me i've followed his threads.

  • i know i told you it is difficult but it is doable. In all honesty, I have looked at a couple of the type r and a few modded honda and one n/a beans toyota mr2 motor, and to tell you the truth greasers methods arent very effective ways to gain power n/a. but he did managae it. I am starting on this project now so in two years time I will let you know if you want. I am pretty sure its going to be difficult. But i doubt it would be too expensive.

  • thing is man the truck motor KA isnt a performance engine, its just hard to squeeze out NA hp out of it. SR20VEs see above 200whp NA with ease and not too much money. KAs are fail city in NA trim.

  • lol sr20s can make more than 200whp n/a tomei n2 crates made what? 280-320bhp? and they could run endurance races. Sr20s are race motors, but i am not looking for much beyond 200whp. as a matter of fact im not even aiming at 200whp. im just going as high as it will get within a set budget really. Im just trying to improve the car overall, so meh i dunno, we'll see, this cars more for experience, being my first car and all and i think you will agree ka24de are cheap and easily available motors.

  • @shinmei2006 ka is not a truck motor it was put into trucks but not a truck motor dude do research and stop trollin, 1989 the first year it was put into production well the ka24 was put into production was in a 240SX MADE IN JAPAN all of the 240sx motors were made in japan.....(ka24 isnst a race motor) pssshhh yeah right thats why nissan cared to make dem in japan for the belevod 240sx

    there were NO s13s with a KA in japan...

Even the SRT4 engine came from MEXICO´s Stratus R/T which is in fact the 2.4 I4 TURBO. WTF is your problem if the Engine was made in MEXICO or not? most of the new chevrolet engines are made in MEXICO as well IDIOT.
