I have been planning a trip for sometime to ski in America from Europe. My Dad has skied Vail a in Colorado a couple times, he loved how the snow quality maintains really well but couldn't tell any difference between snow dryness to the Alps back in Europe.
Apparently California snow is the same as the Alps? Apparently Colorado & Utah is dryer. I don't suppose anyone knows from experience if there's a difference between fresh Cali snow & fresh Utah or Colorado, thanks!!
@dothedewinme Thanks, thats good to know. I just saw my cousine today and he was in Snowbird season gone, said the snow was very dry. Will go check it out, thanks!

@atraherne the snow in california can be as dry as in the rockies, usually not though, and in the rockies it maintains its dryness longer
