Hey jon a got an a chalcodes bout 5 weeks ago and was wondering. the shop that gave me her set the tank up with sand as a substrate she doesnt seem to mind bt av read on lots of places not to use sand is it ok for this type of t?

I finally got scorpions. I went to the pet store and got two Emperor's. I couldn't just get 1, I had to take them out of their misery, that pet store didn't know how to take care of anything.

yes its normal. You need to know that the molting process is very stressful, and tarantula needs to be fully energized when this happens. Its not moving because its conserving energy.

You need a lot of humidity with T.blondi, the minimum is 85% and that's their dry season. Don't keep them lower than that, or else you will have molting complications, which this sp is known for
