I don't play video games much anymore but it's just fun and games. most of tom morello's solos are quite easy to play, its just that he uses alot of different effects you wouldn't think about. imo think thomas erak is better than bolth tom and slash
it doesn´t matter the difficulty, morello solos are very original, many guitarrist only go to the down part of the neck and play as fast as they can, morello is very creating writing songs and solos

I aggree with Cyberpunk here, Tom seriously does things with a guitar that people would never even think about. Most inovative guitar player I've seen to date...and he can play more that the electric guitar, his acoiustic is also amazing.

Tom Morello is truly an innovator when it comes to playing the guitar. Instead of being the one who playes the "fastest" or whatnot, he actually made the guitar into an entirely new instrument. Don't understimate his guitar skills all you "hardcore" guitar fans who look down on Tom.

dude, gh is easy as shit. i beat the third one on expert my second day playing it. Real guitar requires skill and a little natural born talent. gh requires fingers and eyes, thats all. that said, it pretty fun to play wih a bunch of people

I Personally think you get alot out of playing real guitar than playing a video game where you just press buttons to make sound come from your tv, use itunes if you want to listen to a song.
My friend plays electric guitar and I play bass. We enjoy playing guitar hero, but often we stand next to the tv with our instruments, and when kids are like "We're gonna rock hard on our plastic controllers" we always show them up by plating the song they're playing for real.
I'm not that good at the guitar, but I've been playing for almost a year now and I can play some simple songs, but what really pisses me off is when people come up when im playing and say "Hey play one or bulls on parade" and its not that i can't play them its just the simple fact that people only know those songs from guitar hero that i refuse to play them, PEOPLE WHO ACT LIKE THEY KNOW THE BAND BECAUSE THEY PLAYED ONE OF THERE SONGS ON A GAME ARE FUCKING RETARDED!!!!!

You people are comparing apples and oranges. Let's put it into perspective... Guitar hero has 5 frets. An average electric guitar has about 24 frets on each of the 6 strings, so that's 144. Plus, there are 6 different strings to strum, compared to the 1 in Guitar Hero. Do you people think that we don't know real guitar is harder? We're not remedial.
I hate people who think just because they can get a 5 star on guitar hero that they can play real guitar. People need to realize that it's much harder than this stupid game is. my friends starting playing for that reason, and they try to make it sound like they're better than me when they don't even know what a chord is, or the name of the strings. I'm sick of those people

I aggree with Cyberpunk here, Tom seriously does things with a guitar that people would never even think about. Most inovative guitar player I've seen to date...and he can play more that the electric guitar, his acoiustic is also amazing.

Tom Morello is truly an innovator when it comes to playing the guitar. Instead of being the one who playes the "fastest" or whatnot, he actually made the guitar into an entirely new instrument. Don't understimate his guitar skills all you "hardcore" guitar fans who look down on Tom.

dude, gh is easy as shit. i beat the third one on expert my second day playing it. Real guitar requires skill and a little natural born talent. gh requires fingers and eyes, thats all. that said, it pretty fun to play wih a bunch of people

but thats not really the point. yeah it is more satisfying to play real guitar, but guitar hero is just a game. it is like playing an arcade game, people want to get the highest score possible and people have their preferences in the songs they want to play. i dont understand the big deal. yeah people get annoying when talk smack to people and brag about guitar hero. but just ignore them. it is only a game it isnt meant to be like playing an actual guitar just simulate it

My friend plays electric guitar and I play bass. We enjoy playing guitar hero, but often we stand next to the tv with our instruments, and when kids are like "We're gonna rock hard on our plastic controllers" we always show them up by plating the song they're playing for real.

You people are comparing apples and oranges. Let's put it into perspective... Guitar hero has 5 frets. An average electric guitar has about 24 frets on each of the 6 strings, so that's 144. Plus, there are 6 different strings to strum, compared to the 1 in Guitar Hero. Do you people think that we don't know real guitar is harder? We're not remedial.
