The Dean ML is such a great design. Notice how he's playing it sitting down, and the three pointy sections fit right across his lap and between his legs, so that the neck balances upward at a perfect angle.
It makes me wonder if there are any jazz, blues or orchestral players out there who would use the ML in settings where you play sitting down.
You should let the artist use his own signature models. not by fans.
I bought a ML 79. Not a dime signature. it's about 500$ cheaper.
I talked to a person that had done comparison's. They 79 is better than the DFH. Why? the 79 is made in Korea and the DFH in china. Btw.. You will get so much more respect if you just play a dean ml, Rather than a Dime Signature.

@Eriklju I don't give a fuck how much more expensive it is. it's the sound quality that counts. I've played both the ml's and my Dean From Hell, and the Dean From Hell sounds so much better, and feels more comfortable. I don't like the feel or sound of the regular ML's. Plus, I'm pretty sure that Dime would want us to buy his signature series because I'm sure he has a royalty of some sort on it that gives him money.
@alexposi I know he never played with Dimebuckers. He played with Bill Lawrence 500. EMG's are overcompressed, have no mids, no bottom end. I'd rather play a supernintendo, sounds more organic.
@alexposi try the Bill and Becky L-500XL(that Dimebag had only in his first guitar, can be heard in cowboy from hell album). That's the reason why I removed all the EMG from my guitars. You can get a better sound with a clean boost pedal when you want high gain, to hear it is to believe it. The L-500 without boost pedal is the tightest and most aggressive pickup ever! Not to confuse with the Bill Lawrence USA shitty copy or the Dimebucker TM. The clean sound is wonderful, check the Q-Filter!!!!
I have just ordered one Bill&Becky L500XL :)...It is hand made by the man himself the price is lower than all duncans or dimarzios etc. the man is true innovator designed the legendary pickups for gibson, fender (samarium cobalt), also designed guitars for them. the pickup in this video is bill and becky L500xl. How I know? Check bill lawrence site. Some say Dime used The Bill Lawrence USA pickups (the ones made by the company after Bill Lawrence left company) not the L500XL hand made by Bill himself (he started building also by himself). But it seems he used them both at different times. But for sure Dime used Dimebucker only at the end of his career and the dime sound we know came from L500's ..whichever it was.
@cikicrocus dimebag used the real L500XL at the begeining when he was very you. At the time the L500 (BillLawrenceUSA) imitation where very close to the original and were sold but were sold by Stewmac.com . Eventually the BillLawrenceUSA got sold to another company and started to suck ass as they're not what they used to be anymore. If you do research the L500 of dimebag was L (for lead) only because they're was only the L500L (that was the equivalent of today's XL [extra lead] ) and hthe L500R.

yeah fuck signature guitars although theres a few im after we've got to keep in mind that a custom pickup like say a Dimebucker in a Gibson Les Paul won't give you his sound .... BUT .. at the same time getting a signature series guitar isn't the end of the road to get the dimebag tone (guitar sound) ... .you need his everything , cables, amplifiers to even settings!

I have this guitar, I set it up in D standard, I am a big thrash metal fan so I don't care for pantera since they are groove, but dime was a great guitar player, this guitar for me is perfect for covering and playing old school death metal.
@XxboVodxX Not true, he used Dean custom wound super distortions in the neck up till he switched to washburn. There's in fact no difference between the bridge and neck SD's, but the vintage custom SD's are very different from the current ones. When he switched to washburn he started using 59s. When he went back to Dean in 04 he started using current SD's. He also used BOTH B&B L500's as well as BLUSA L500's. L500L, L500XL, and L500R's. This is all fact.
@XxboVodxX Sorry my post was directed @ ablackroseformylove. And yes in very later years he did start using the dimebucker as well. His little flipped pickup idea is also complete BS. He may have flipped them but there is ZERO difference with any of these pups.
@MitchSchaft I've flipped them many times before. The L500L, L500XL, and L500R and they all sound the same flipped. I've never tried it with a BLUSA L500 but the B&B's will not sound different. B&B themselves say that it won't because both coils are identical. These have B&B's, you can tell because it has the wide rails. Also I called and B&B said they're theirs. BLUSA's have skinny rails and a stamp on the bottom. Dime used both throughout the years, fact.
@dvschsa he ALWAYS used a bill lawrence in the bridge position and a seymour duncan '59 in the neck position,at the end of his carreer dimebag used SD dimebucker instead of the bill lawrence
@dvschsa wrong...to the end of his life, 2004 he was fully endorsing his signture pickup...the Dimebucker...do some research before you try and follow the crowd with the " hes dead and dean are still making money from him" argument...Dime said he wanted he guitars to go on even if he wasnt there so people could still have the best guitars possible (Dimes oppinion)

@dvschsa He used the Dimebucker when he went back to Dean guitars in early 04. I don't know if he had any in any washburns but he did in fact have them in his late Deans. Look at pics and videos. That and he used the Duncan '59 for most of his career. Pretty much all his Deans have super distortion neck pups and all washys have 59s.
beware that this is a shitty Floyd that's in the guitar. Just because it says Licensed floyd, doesn't mean Floyd quality. This one they put on here is made of cheap metal, and it's hard to get it to stay in perfect tune when you're doing divebombs and stuff on it.

Not a dime signature if it was it would have razor blade inlays on 12 and it would say dime signature on the head stock still a nice guitar it's just not ur style maybe try a ibanez or something
@TheBroham13 it does not have dime inlays because it is a copy of Dime's guitar, not a tribute, dime did not have a razor inlay on his DFH so the signature model does not have one, it has the same electronics that dime used and comes from the factory setup up CLOSE to the way dime had his.

I have this guitar, I set it up in D standard, I am a big thrash metal fan so I don't care for pantera since they are groove, but dime was a great guitar player, this guitar for me is perfect for covering and playing old school death metal.

@XxboVodxX Not true, he used Dean custom wound super distortions in the neck up till he switched to washburn. There's in fact no difference between the bridge and neck SD's, but the vintage custom SD's are very different from the current ones. When he switched to washburn he started using 59s. When he went back to Dean in 04 he started using current SD's. He also used BOTH B&B L500's as well as BLUSA L500's. L500L, L500XL, and L500R's. This is all fact.

@XxboVodxX Sorry my post was directed @ ablackroseformylove. And yes in very later years he did start using the dimebucker as well. His little flipped pickup idea is also complete BS. He may have flipped them but there is ZERO difference with any of these pups.

@MitchSchaft I've flipped them many times before. The L500L, L500XL, and L500R and they all sound the same flipped. I've never tried it with a BLUSA L500 but the B&B's will not sound different. B&B themselves say that it won't because both coils are identical. These have B&B's, you can tell because it has the wide rails. Also I called and B&B said they're theirs. BLUSA's have skinny rails and a stamp on the bottom. Dime used both throughout the years, fact.

@dvschsa He used the Dimebucker when he went back to Dean guitars in early 04. I don't know if he had any in any washburns but he did in fact have them in his late Deans. Look at pics and videos. That and he used the Duncan '59 for most of his career. Pretty much all his Deans have super distortion neck pups and all washys have 59s.

beware that this is a shitty Floyd that's in the guitar. Just because it says Licensed floyd, doesn't mean Floyd quality. This one they put on here is made of cheap metal, and it's hard to get it to stay in perfect tune when you're doing divebombs and stuff on it.

Not a dime signature if it was it would have razor blade inlays on 12 and it would say dime signature on the head stock still a nice guitar it's just not ur style maybe try a ibanez or something

@TheBroham13 it does not have dime inlays because it is a copy of Dime's guitar, not a tribute, dime did not have a razor inlay on his DFH so the signature model does not have one, it has the same electronics that dime used and comes from the factory setup up CLOSE to the way dime had his.
