@SavageDutchman What does how you play have to do with so much distortion that you can't even hear the guitar tone anymore? A stompbox (distortion, overdrive;ect) in front of a Soldano is just too much. The Soldano has massive amounts of rectified gain, so does a Mesa Boogie. I could see using a pedal for a "line boost" during a solo. But if you think uber-distortion will make you sound like James Hetfield, you are some 15 year old kid who has been playing 6 months. JMO ~ Good Day

@SavageDutchmanI forgot one thing. You could use a pedal if you hated the saturation from your Soldano (yeah right) and ran it clean and used a stombox for your gain, I guess....Later
