  • why do i sometime see a revo with rear wing and sometime without rear wing

  • my firestorm can do that

  • What caused the run away out of batteries? had how much does a failsafe cost. thinking of getting one for my nitro sport

  • @TheTrihorn1 If you have an extra $100 go get a spectrum DX3e controler. You get a built in fail safe, plus end point adjustments. It's the low end controler - entry level for Spectrum but works great.

  • reconsidering getting a failsafe for it now aren't ya?

  • which one do you think is a better truck... trying to buy one myself

  • @seanmxkid The revo would be my choice, but its up to you.

  • @seanmxkid take the revo but if this is your first rc cr buy a traxxas stampede there cheap and alot of fun and bassicaly bullet proof the damn nitro cars are so touchy and tempermental excuse my spelling

  • Great vid. I remember when my MMGT 3.0 took off down the road and smashed into a parked car. I spent about $70 fixing it, plus another $50 on a quality 6V receiver pack and fail safe. lol...I learned my lesson well.

  • intensely sick vid, my revo will be here in 10-12 business days lol. im not sure why so sucky shipping ::(

  • Thats great news. The revo is a good truck.

  • LOL at the run-away. Failsafes are a good investment for sure. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the Revo 3.3 comes with one stock right?

  • Yes they are. I am not sure about the revo as it belongs to my buddy.

  • @toiletpunker if its got the new 2.4 radio it does...

  • wish i had terrain like that were i live

  • They were building a new shopping center near me. Lots of dirt piles = fun!

  • revo is owned.

  • just need to add a inline fail safe, I think their about $25 - $30.

    Best investment you can make.

    Great vid. too

  • Yep, a prime example of why you should have one. Thanks mrgrouchyguy.

  • I've got the Mega Baja and love it! I'm still learning how to fine tune the high and low end but it's a great car! Nice Video!

  • I have to replace the clutch in mine right now, but other than that you are right, it is a fun ride. Thanks for watching ogre525.

  • this is what i have, love it(:

    Mao.

  • Thanks for watching madeekrzz.

  • lol @ end

looks funny but should be hard :D

  • Thanks for watching and the comment rondar2.

  • yea,

funny if you don't own the car

not funny if its yours, even worse if you total it.

But did it scare you enough to make you buy a failsafe

  • This only happened the one time, so I did not install my failsafe on this buggy. It is a good idea to do that though. Thanks for watching and the tip oddzeee.

  • Which truck do u think is the most durable and fastest?

  • I like them both, but wishing I had reverse in the mega baja like the revo does. But the baja has a bigger engine and is bigger all the way around so if size does matter then the baja is better.

Its a toss up for me. The baja is about $100 cheaper than the revo if money is a concern.

I would have both if I could.

    Thanks for watching Cherokee15676.

  • no dont get a mega baja revos are the best rc trucks you can buy and then in second is hpi mt2g3.0

  • I like the revo as well, but the baja is bigger. The revo has reverse and that is a cool feature to have. Thanks for watching and the comment Tyler28125.

  • my revo doesnt have reverse... do u have the brand new one?

  • My friend owns the revo in this video. It is less than 6 months old and it has reverse. Hope this helps Diddykong.

  • I would love to own both of those trucks especially the REVO.

  • I would like to have a revo as well. It has reverse which is cool if you get stuck. Thanks for the comment Ravagerrules.

  • i think both are really good rc trucks i think i want to lift my mega baja that would look sweet

  • i think the mega baja is one of the best rc trucks if your going to spend money get that one it will out power most rc trucks money well spent

  • The mega baja is a good RC truck and I am having fun with it. Thanks for the comment on the video.

  • Which of the two is faster? more durable?

I am debating which of the two to get.

  • I like both. My friend owns the Revo and I have the Losi Mega Baja. Both are very good. It depends on what you want. I myself would like to have both but cannot afford it.

  • My friend has the revo 3.3 too. I think the baja looks really nice though also.

...how much did you pay for it?

  • The Losi Mega Baja is about $100 cheaper than the Revo 3.3, but the revo is the only nitro truck that I know of that has reverse. The baja is larger in size than the revo and it has a bigger motor.

  • How do they bash, my current truck (first xtm mammoth) seems to break every time I take it out.

  • I have only broken a turn buckle on my Baja. My bearings burned up from my harsh treatment and not cleaning them after several runs through a very dusty dirt track. I dont think my friend has broken anything on his revo, but then he doesnt bash his like I do my baja.

  • YEAH EXACTLY i HAVE THE BAJA

  • the revo is very good it goes 48m.p.h very durable has a 3.3 moter.

THE BAJA IS ALSO VERY GOOD GOES 45 M.P.H HAS 2.65 MOTER 2SPEED TRANY BUT DOES NOT GO IN REVERS THESE ARE BOTH VERY GOOD CARS ABOUT THE SAME THE BAJA IS $430 THE REVO IS USALY $540 THEY BOTH USE THE SAME FUEL.

  • If I had the extra cash to burn, I would own both. The reverse is nice on the revo and the baja is a huge monster truck. Both are well worth the money.

Thanks for the great comment hiascloud.

  • Revo 3.3, man that's one amazing truck. I'm content with my Jato though. You ever used one?

  • I got the same losi mega baja for christmas, and in the instructions it says I can break in the engine like you would break in other RC engines, (varying the RPM and all that good stuff) but it also says I can also break in the engine by just letting it idle for 2 full tanks of fuel. How did you break in your losi engine? I thought since it said you can just let it idle for 2 tanks in the manual then it should be ok right?

  • Thats what I did. I strongly recommend doing just as the instructions tell you to when breaking in your new motor. This will greatly increase the life span of it.

  • Wait, I didn't quite get what you did, did you let the engine idle for 2 tanks or do it normally?

  • Sorry, I let it idle through 2 tanks of gas. Then I ran 1 tank full through it in my front yard at slow speeds before I ran it wide open.

  • But you didn't mess with the tuning screws till after the 3rd tank right?

  • That is correct and it did need both idle and high speed tuning after I went through the break in period.

  • Ok, so let me get this totally strait, after all my engine life depends on it. You let it idle for 2 full tanks of fuel, then let it run at slow speeds for one tank, and after this third tank, the engine was broken in, and you started with the tuning procedure.

  • That is how I did mine. If you follow the break in procedure it will extend the motors life span.

  • And has the engine been good to you? I mean is it running reliably?

  • So far so good. I look forward to your baja video. Let us know how it goes.

  • I just finished letting the engine idle or 2 full tanks. Then I wanted to drive it around a little (on 1/4 - 1/2 throttle for one tank) to make sure it is properly broken in. But the engine would just rev but would not engage the 1st gear. So basically the engine would rev but he car would not move. Help?

  • Sounds like you need to adjust the tension spring for the clutch. Remove the clutch cover on the right side and tighten the spring in 1/4 turn increments until the clutch engages. The factory settings for the clutch are in the manual. Do not over tighten it as you can break the spring. Read the manual first then give it a try.

  • I went to my local hobby shop and they fixed it, they even adjusted all of my speed screws for free, really nice people. I will have a video out shortly. Thankyou for all of you help. And a sweet video might I ad. Could you tell me the title of the song in the video? Thankyou again.

  • How long do the engines last usually? And how much to rebuild/replace?

    Thanks.

  • properly broken in and taken care of they last a long time. I think the manufacturer suggests a rebuild every few gallons of fuel you go through which takes a while.

  • Depends on how you run them if you run a little on the rich side for a long time if you run them lean the engines run more RPM's but run hotter and shorten the life span to 2weeks to a few months, the thing that dies the most are the glow plugs good plugs are a few bucks a piece and gas can be $30 a gallon depending on nitro content also the life span depends on how high nitro you run i ran 30% and killed mine in about 7months and cost about $125+ for a good engine traxxas has a swap program

  • @idin1976 Last a couple years if broken in and maintained properly.

  • That air filter is really taking a beating!

  • Yes it did. I keep several clean spares just for times like this. I had fun in this video, but the fine loose dirt eventually burned up my clutch bearings. I call it a learning experience. Thanks for the comment marckroseberg.

  • which should i get the losi after shock or the mega baja

  • Both are almost identical. The aftershock is a stripped down version of the mega baja. The aftershock costs less because it does not come with the electric starter. It also does not come with the reciever battery pack or charger which you must have to run it. If you buy an aftershock, you will end up spending more money for the extra parts than if you just bought the mega baja outright.

Buy the mega baja, if you dont like the Beetle body, put an aftershock body on it. They will fit each other.

  • both are the same just depends if you want a truck body or buggy but every thing else is the same

  • why does the mega baja cost less than an lst2 but no complains here

  • I have no idea why. I'm just glad it wasnt as expensive as a revo 3.3 because that is what I intended to buy until I saw the mega baja. Bigger motor, bigger tires, bigger everything, 1/8th scale monster truck.

  • Nice Eric. You really are into a pile of RC. I myself can not get into the Land RC. Love the planes. I used to work in a hobbyshop and had lots of exposure to them. I once had an electric offroad like yours get run over my a van. Love the Grease Lightning reference. Only us "aged" guys would probably have seen that movie.

  • Thanks for the kind comments ajjamoore. RC trucks can be really fun. I just enjoy getting out with friends. Ditto on the grease lighting reference.

  • Get a failsafe. Fits between the receiver and the throttle servo. If the receiver pack goes low, or the receiver looses signal, it will go to a preset throttle position that you program. (I have my Revo go full brake in failsafe). The $20 is money well spent. :)

  • Thanks for the information plighteron. That does sound like a good investment.

  • lol, Great vid! That sucks about the breakage but that was hilarious when it lost signal (well, its not funny when it happens to you. I've had that happen alot... till I went ALL Spektrum :))

  • I have it fixed already and we went out again yesterday. Thanks for the kind words.

  • Ha ha ha....fun stuff. Looks like lots of car polishing afterwards, too.

  • Thanks Dave, and you are right. The mega baja was mega dirty, but worth the fun.

  • Sweet! I wish I lived closer, that looks like a cool place to rage my Truggy! Drag on the tenna, looked like u were trying to catch a greased piglet!

  • Thanks for the kind comment. That is a constuction site for a shopping center near my house. My friend Tim and I hope we can get some more air time there before the dirt piles are gone.

  • Cool short video of the Traxxas Revo 3.3, but why did you cut out Marilyn Manson after 30 seconds? That was a darn good tune! LOL The end was pretty cool, too. Kinda like trying to catch a chicken.

  • Thanks for watching and the comments Jeff. I busted a tired on that last run, but had fun doing it.
