  • Under 15 psi on stock motor w stock injectors turbo act. That's what I did until I went k04 which has bout 10000miles on it n then went 5857 precision runs good

  • Nice ride nice numbers, I'm runing a GT28RS @ 23 pounds Completely stock block, Autotech Intake cam, WAI, 3" open exhaust, Eurodyne software, Injector Dynamics 725cc Injectors. I want to dyno it soon to see what I'm working with :) I kinda want a GT3071R now damn it, is the difference huge?

    yeah every gt28 1.8t car i raced i detstroyed em. My turbo is for sale just got a new center section direct from garret.

  • Getting similar setup on a bigport head and SEM intake. CTS kit. Had expected to see 400+ at 24psi... Do you have an eMBC?

  • @oistein74 let me know how you like that SEM intake, I was checking it out, but I saw they only made the TB on the driver's side. I still have yet to install a FMIC. I'm way behind lol.

  • @aetommyboy I like it, I think. I never drove that motor with stock manifold as I bought motor and SEM at the same time for my build so I cant compare it to stock.

  • @deathrow209 look into a different n75 valve. Preferably the "J" revision or the "race" one from ecs tuning. You'll notice a big different. Or look into adjusting the wastegate threads.

  • Hey man I finally got it all fixed and I put a dyno vid up. I ran 18psi and got 323whp and 289wtq =] pretty happy but Ima lower it so I won't snap a rod haha... hopefully soon I get them in and can push it

  • my opinon is you wont snap a rod at 323, altough those are great numbers for 18psi! and congrats!

  • @boostindub no that's not typical.. but I've heard people snap rods around 300hp

  • @boostindub just a question... how in the world do you even get over 300 hp with 18 psi. cuz im running apr stage II around 18-20 psi and i think i have around 240.

    because i had a 3071r with a equal length tubular manifold and 630cc injectors, no emisions, or blah blah vaves and a greddy profec b2 with is worth every nickel

    the only thing stopping me from getting a 1.8t is cuz i hear they constantly eat up 02 sensors and coilpacks. has VW fixed these problems? or is the 24v vr6 the way to go?

    well man the coil packs were recalls and if u go bolt on Hitachi then there wont be any problem and are way better in my opinion. 02 sensors well i dunno about that one bcuz mine still has no CEL. But its all up to u man it all depends on what u wanna do with ur car and what u want out of it in the long run. VRs sound sexy but are expensive to go turbo or super charge and may cause problems but as a street cruiser they are nice.

  • @RickHdz36 i got the bolt downs. and 02 sensors could be a myth depends on alot of things, my car doesnt blow them.

  • @Hellz420 1.8t's as u can see in his vid and mine u can strap on a big turbo and no worry about nothing exploding for the time being haha they put down some power for a small motor and are reliable in my case.

  • @Hellz420 vr6 has just as many if not more problems than the 1.8t. a bit more maintenance in my opinion, all realy depends on what u want and how much money u wana spend on upgrades to the motor. vr6 turbo will get u crazu numbers but will cost u a pretty penny, and 1.8t will cost u some what less to constantly upgrade the turbos or just smack on the big boy right away. :) hope that helped.

  • @blacktop2001 the AF was not hooked up to computer. I have Unitronic tunning so i know its fine.

  • i have a mk2 golf gti with a 1.8t swap with a precision t3/t4 50 trim .63/ar on 440cc injectors on standalone at 20psi making 300hp

  • @4520804 I made 321 with zero tuning on a early revo filed with 440cc, and a 50 trim with a really bad idea of making the exhaust a .48 ar. but that setup is wayyyyyyy gone this is the new setup on the video

  • Man I bought the forge and still gettin turbo flutter I seriously am lost on what it could be and it's frustrating me! Haha like I dunno maybe the forge is letting enough air out or what

  • @RickHdz36 best i can tell you is call forge tell them your setup hard for me to diagnose with out seeing your setup. "when in dought call an expert" thats what i do and I still have questions I ask about all the time.

  • wow you can boost 24psi in a 1.8..?? i was wanting to put a bigger turbo in my audi but i didnt think it would handle more than like 12psi...

  • yeah plenty of people run 20-22 pis stock motor with 50 trims

  • i just installed my turbo kit but im running the stock dv,,, so im only pushing 8lbs boost but even when i get to 4lbs and higher i can hear the turbo flutter.... is it the dv? or what can it be? any tips help?

  • i had a 50 trim on pump gas revo and 440injectors, ran 25 psi on the dyno only netted me 321whp and 276trq other people have done way better with a 50 trim. I think the turbo i had was crap it. i had the wrong exhaust housing i had the .48 and needed the .63 exhaust housing. I

  • 1100 for the turbo and injectors. Turbo is brand new from garret with a sales reciept

  • no more than 300whp/or torque for daily driving and your motor to last a good while. if you have nearly 100k on motor i wouldnt do it. the biggest problem you want avoid is torque spikes, thats what snaps rods. dont run lean on tune either and make sure your timing is in the single digits. good luck.

    50 trim is a stock motor turbo unless you get up in the 23psi range

  • zero. just keeping stock 5 speeds together. But now i have the 6spd 02m with peleqion diff, and south bend 6puck and a unorthodox 2peice flywheel.
