  • Thanks Lockyuk2000. The BBC hustle over 3 billion £££'s from us through the TV licence fee, and with that money they dish us shite, then they repeat that same shite and charge us again, anybody that appreciates the BBC must be either mad or brain dead, or even both :o)

  • UK citizens are deceived by the BBC, they did £120 BILLION! GBP in global sales last year, that puts them at the top of corporate profit makers in the UK. They have a gold mine in the form of the 50 years of BBC TV archive that the UK TV licence payers paid for. Forget about licence fee, each household in the UK should receive a fair dividend payment from the profits of not less than £800.00 a year. Are people in the UK a bit simple? maybe because the con so massive the just can't see it.

  • Thanks for your comments, I do think many people are a bit docile, if they are not told something through the official sources, such as the TV, Radio or newspaper media, then they think its not true or it can't really be that important.

  • I agree with catjump88.

  • you have a choice, don't watch tv and don't pay, or watch tv and pay. tv isn't your right. 75% of the BBCs funding comes from license fees, how else do you propose they pay for everything they do?

complaints about people who evade the license fee being punished are pointless as well. it's a crime, and if you commit crimes you get punished. if you can't afford the fines/jail time etc, don't commit the crime in the first place.

  • If I choose to subscribe to Sky TV, why should I have to pay the BBC as well?

When you buy your daily copy of "the Sun" newspaper, would you expect to have to pay for the daily mirror, even though you don't read it? (I don't think so)

  • if you've ever watched so much as one program on the BBC then you having to spend is justified, they need to get the money to make that program from somewhere. and if you can afford sky then why does £125 for having the tv bother you? as far as i'm aware sky is £360 year, plus extra for the good channels.

  • I don't do SKY and I don't do the BBC they were examples.

The BBC should be subscription or they should fund themselves through advertisements, every other company manages to do that.

  • would you really prefer to have your program stop every 10 minutes for 5 minute advert break than run straight through in one go?

and that means you only watch itv, channel 4 and channel 5? cos seeing as you object to paying for channels you don't watch you can't have freeview. why buy a tv at all if you watch that little tv. and seeing as one of your videos is a tape of the bbc news i find it hard to believe you never watch the bbc.

  • The BBC do advertising it is covert advertising. watch this video again.

I own a TV and use it to watch my DVD's, Video's, I also Look at my Photographs and plug in my games console and as it happens I do have freeview.

Being that I am in possession of a TV Licence. I do occasionally watch the BBC (guilt and shame free), how could I ever have an opinion about them if I never watched them?

  • 'I do occasionally watch the BBC' - i think you just destroyed your 'i never watch the BBC so why should i have to pay' arguement.

and as for the advertising: other channels get money from commercial brands for advertising space, that's how they make their money. the BBC are advertising their own products, how will they get paid for doing that?

  • I watch the BBC only for Critique, there is not one program I tune into because I like the program, that is what I meant when I said I don't do the BBC. The only reason I watch is because I am legally entitled to watch by living in a household that has a current TV Licence.

BBC personnel are well paid benefits scroungers, living off the backs of the poor and poverty stricken citizens. this fact enables you to watch advert free programming.

It's a shame that you think that's acceptable.

  • if they weren't paid by a license fee they'd be funded out of government funds, which would mean an increase in tax. either way we have to pay for it, just this is more direct.

  • The BBC World service is already funded by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office to the tune of £239.1 million.

The TV Licence is a regressive Tax collected in the way it is, to keep the poor in their place. TV Licensing have a licence to Threaten, Harass and Intimidate, that is bullying and everybody knows bullying is against the Law.

How Can the BBC, TV Licensing and Capita Group PLC (the money collectors), be allowed to get away with it?

  • £239.1 million is only a small fraction of the £2.8 billion it takes to run the BBC each year though.

and the tv license is to keep the poor in their place? are you for real? and by threaten, i'm guessing you mean 'stop breaking the law or we'll punish you'. would harassing be trying to make people pay the license they are legally required to pay?

damn i hate the police, they always harass me for breaking the law, can't i just go out and shop lift in peace?

  • I went without a Television for four years, I had as many visits from TV Licensing, they asked me to prove that I never had a Television, That to my Reckoning is harassment and Intimidation, If you want to read threatening letters sent out from TV Licensing I have added a link on this video info panel to a relevant website. : bbctvlicence (dot)com

  • just tell them to prove you did have one and that they can fk off until they can.

  • That isn't the answer is it, don't you think its better to abolish the TV Licence and take the power from these bullies?

The TV Licence is a tax that disregards peoples ability to pay example: A millionaire who live in a mansion that watches TV on a 42 inch plasma TV pays the same amount as an indebted university student living in a bedsit who watches on a 14 inch colour TV, how can that be fair.

In this instance the law is an ass and it should be changed.

  • they have no power anyway, and they can't punish you for a tv you don't have.

it's £120 a year, and you only pay it if you have a TV. if you really can't afford to pay it, don't buy a TV. it's not essential.

and they pay the same amount because they're recieving the same service for their money

  • I didn't say that they have the power to punish me, I said that they harassed me and If I was that way inclined, they would have intimidated me.

It is clear you don't have to buy a TV Licence yourself, otherwise you'd know A colour TV Licence costs £139.50.

  • they're just some skinny guys in suits, who gives a shit if they come to your door? if they're that bad, ignore them

and no, i don't own a license. is the £19.50 i forgot about the difference between life and death?

  • TV licence is an outdated tax that is no longer needed. Media businesses are very profitable and don't need this extra revenue.

The negative affect on the standard of living of many people in the UK is more than enough reason to remove this silly tax.

  • You're aware the profit from BBC Worldwide (the books, magazenes, toys, DVDs, and the overseas sales of BBC programmes) goes directly back into the BBC and helps keep the overall cost of the licence fee down?

  • Thanks for your comments, The cost of the TV Licence is not my argument, My contention is, choice, we have none.

  • this is an excellent video and i enjoyed the music alot.
