my math teacher told me he'd give me some extra credit if i can reveal the secret of this clock trick to the class so if you could please answer this question, that would help me a lot: at 1:25/3:02, it said to add in a twist by saying you'll remove the 3 & 4 because you know the person isn't on one of those. are there any other numbers that they COULD NOT POSSIBLY be on besides 3 or 4 at that time and do you know of any numbers I could cross off before then?
What if someone thinks of ten or one to start with? then that would mean they land on the two and then by the third time you ask them you wont be anywhere near the 8, 9 or 10
psychicscienceorg has a much improved interactive web version of this mind-reading clock trick. You get different results every time! YouTube won't allow URLs in comments, but you can google psychicscience.
So I'm guessing you're so proud of yourself of finally figuring out this trick so you have to post a video about it...Can't you just leave things as they are? You're like killing magic.
I figured out this trick the 2nd time I saw David Copperfield do it on TV, about 10 years ago (ABC re-ran one of his specials, a fair amount of his stuff can be figured out on a second or third viewing, if you're trying to figure out how he does it) My aim is more along the lines of "Now that you know how this one works, go amaze your friends with it."
Alright. Well, I've got to say you did a hell of a good job with the actual video. Like it's isn't crap. It's really good. Explains clearly. I'll give it a 5 star for the Actual Video.
Is this possible in dutch? one = een two = twee three = drie four = vier vife = vijf six = zes seven = zeven eight = acht nine = negen ten = tien eleven = elf twelve = twaalf. I think this works differently, or doesn't it?
well you just have to try it yourself and calculate around... guess in the end you`ll find a way how to do it in dutch (different numbers, different number of trials ect)
I've always used a different and simpler method... the spectator thinks of any hour and instructed that everytime the magician taps they are to count forward one (in their head) from the number they started on and to stop when they reach 20 and tell you. the magician taps the watch in 7 random places the 8th tap is on 12 and from then on he taps counter clockwise 9th tap =11 and so on when spectator reaches 20. the magician is pointing at the thought of number!!! maths: 12+8=20
That was in response to all the comments on the original video to the effect of "Nop, didn wurk. I pikd 7 cowntd 2 7, cowntd 2 7 again, landid on too, cowntd 2 too, landid on for. Dosn't wurk, haha UR stoopid."
it always stops at 1

Well I didnt think it could be so simple !

wonkabarz93 2 years ago
@wonkabarz93 by that point in the trick, they're on the 1, but it's a bit too obvious if you remove too many of numbers
JohnPercyLasher 1 year ago
i tried it on my brother and it turs out he falls under the stupid or illiterate
xNo0bl3Tx 2 years ago
First number: eleven
Second number: twelve
I finish on 12, not 8, 9 or 10.
DigiDrone23 2 years ago
You don't get to pick the second number, you spell whatever number you landed on.
The semi-literate comment was directed at people like you.
JohnPercyLasher 2 years ago
So e-l-e-v-e-n gets you to six, s-i-x gets you to nine, n-i-n-e gets you to one and I have you.
JohnPercyLasher 2 years ago
Right, now I got it:) Do you know where I can find the original version of the trick?
DigiDrone23 2 years ago
LOL i was gonna write the same thing but then i saw ur comment good trick though
cabudinen 2 years ago
Assuming you started on the 12 as instructed.... and after having spelled ELEVEN, you'd be on the 6; NOT the 12.
So, you wouldn't spell TWELVE.
You'd spell SIX.
That was your mistake. Listen to the instructions again and give it another shot.
busheytube 2 years ago
yep... what I said
JohnPercyLasher 2 years ago
SPELL DON'T COUNT!!!

hds02115 3 years ago
If you think of ten or one (or six) you would land on 3, you spell the first letter on the 1.
JohnPercyLasher 3 years ago
there is a mistake in your video at 0:57 you say that after the second time you count you could be at 8,9 or10
just checked you can just be at 8 or 9 but not 10.
riccardofroz 3 years ago
Yeah. oops
still works if you land on 10 by mestook

o what is that piano song play in the beginning, sounds heart-warming
flashcabaja64 3 years ago
The music is all from a song called "Could It Be Magic" by Barry Manilow; it's based on Chopin's (pronounced: SHO-pan) prelude in C Minor.

I'm afraid this version only works in English. But the trick in general could probably work in Dutch, it would likely end up with different numbers.

Vulgar language which indicates a poverty of thought translated into text is the best way to get your comment deleted.
