  • I sure the old ghost train ride that was in the fair for years used part of the basement tunnels.

  • @whitestar1dj Yes the ghost train did go through the cellar. :)

  • The tunnels there must surely run further. And you're right about the lake, there are many accounts of the Victorians hosting underground boat rides underneath the Palace.

However this is good coverage, thanks.

  • cool, they where also used for smuggling and wrecking.

  • awesome mate would love to come along on one of the tunnel trips

  • wouldn't if i were you mate, the fairground foreman used to piss in a bucket down there - the smell still lingers to this day.

  • WOW! The Old Creep Inn....OMFG! I never thought I'd see that place again!

    Wilkie still looks the same!

The caves do carry on around New Brighton (montpellier crescent gardens, for example)

    Never found the lake though!!

    Thank you for the video.

  • Have you got the camera strapped to your head because that looks like a fringe in the corner.

  • Excellent vid! Didn't know how big it was under there. can you post the still pictures that were taken?

  • pm sent ;) great vid by the way :)

  • awsome spent my youth at the fairground , never new any of that existed , wallaseys best kept secret i reckon ,thanks .

  • Stay tuned mate, I've got a few more trips up my sleeve. For example, the munitions battery at the fort is massive and is well worthy of getting on film. Not to mention the old marimers' home on Seabank, dissused for years and used by the police to train their dogs. Fascinating underground Newbo.

  • @hankskankmeister its full of asbestos now i think
