I heard about this fire when I was sitting at work in Richmond. My house and horses are in Mount Macedon and I was freaking out as I couldn't get any information on location, direction etc. Big thanks to those who helped and the firies. It's good to know that we're looked after so well! I saw on the CFA website at the start that maps had been released on their website. It would be fantastic if ABC, theage and all the others were able to help keep those maps up to date. Big thank you guys!

Maybe a bit more Fire Activity would be good to, I busted my nuts at this fire and want to show the wife some fire shots, Not John talking crap. hahaha just kidding we love you John ;-)

Alright mate! :-) It's a bit of a track from Burwood to Woodend and I ain't got no lights and sirens! If only you guys weren't so good at putting them out so quickly!
PS Be more careful with those nuts next time.

These operational updates are fantastic. Great work, cfavic.
I know this is not easy when you are trying to get an update out quickly, but some maps, espcially ones illustrating the fire behaviour, would make these great videos even better.
