1st off all , in my emulator the option cd driver its different cuz doesnt have ISO option, second stuff in ssf alpha r4 that i download it the sega file for bios is not included.
OK now your gunna need the BIOS my advice is just to try all of them with no loaded game and just try to get the saturn up and running with no game because loading games is easy from there...
Compare this to the PS1 emulator, the saturn is very laggy. Everytime I tried to play PD, it lags like hell. I shut down most of my apps and it still lags.
Tried downloading it tons of times, I also don't seem to have all the same files that you do in the video, but everywhere I download it, they all have the same exact files, see I only have SSF.exe, Zip_Decoder.dll, the Snapshot,Backup, wave,Statesave, and the Bios folders which I had to add myself, from another SSF Emu tutorial.
The rate drops if you have many apps running, you should consider stopping some apps when you are playing. Also if it still runs slow try setting the EZ Settings to low.
Thanks for the tutorial, worked for me and the game ive tried runs without any problems, however, it seems to lag a lot and runs slowly (like when your running panzer dragoon while recording), im not sure if its my computer or any settings but if you could help out that would be great, thanks again.
You can try under the EZ Settings setting it to low and that should give you an increse. Another thing to try is to shut down some programs that are not needed to free up some resources. The less running the better it should get, at least a little.
If i understand it, when i set up the emulator that plays sonic jam, aparently it's an emulator for putting the actual disk in the disk drive to play them.
You need a virtual disk reader that acts as a disk reader but only plays emulators (The emulator is a virtual disk)
Search up DAEMON and you should find it. But be warned the emulator is kinda slow when playing if you have anything else running.
Oh and to anyone else who disagrees with me, I found this on another tutorial video, But I'm not really sure but that's what it said so i guess it was right since it worked. so yeah.
It's true, the more you have running on your PC the slower the gameplay. Free up some resources before you use this emulator or one for another system.
Thanks alot this tutorial actually enables me to get to the bios for the first time =P.
I'm still having a problem though, when I go to set up my button configuration I only get and small window with nothing inside of it and i'm forced to alt F4 to get rid of it. Any idea how to fix this?
Help i have been working countless hours tryin to get a game to work! so i mounted the image onto Daemon tools i went on to SSF and changed the CD drive to the daemon tools setting... then rebooted SSF and it says GAME DISC UNSUITABLE FOR THIS SYSTEM IM LIKE WTF! ive tried countless Hours And its pissin me off PLEASE HELP ive got all Specs Direct X 9 Everything Please help!
d3lvn - that's just the way it is, you can enable Bilinear filtering in the options to smooth things out a little bit. The other thing you can do is run it through a television with svideo output from your video card.
I'm having some trouble. When I run any games on SSF they all end up looking pixelated and blurry. This is on the standard screen size too. Do you know what the problem could be? Any help you could offer would be appreciated.
I believe all the games run on one resolution. Besides changing the window size from 1X to 1.5X and 2X I haven't been able to set the actual resolution to a different setting.
Usually when you open the program, the BIOS runs first. From the BIOS menu you can choose the run application option to run the game. Another thing you can do is under the Hardware menu, choose to open drive, then close drive and that should auto start the game too.
Put the BIOS in the root folder of the program. Also make sure you specify what BIOS you are using when configuring the program. You do this by opening the Options menu, under Saturn BIOS browse for the BIOS file.
i tried googling the bios but all these fraud websites show up

I pretty sick of it under these emulator not run Doom is not something strange?
It should not happen, the emulator developers focus more on this issue and just kind of ignore the matter as closed?

Are saturn games near-flawless on this if you have a fast enough PC? Or does the framerate still drop when there's lots going on at once?

you got the
Area code wrong(region)
under(o) option>
try
1.Japan or
2. America
or try all four until you match the .iso's region
And restart

How do you even set UP the daemon tools. i downloaded it but where do i put it?
Tyleriku 3 years ago
Just install it. Configure the number of Virtual Drives, 1 should be sufficient and then on SSF choose the drive from the drop down menu.

You have to unzip the .rar file. It has to be an .img or .iso image. You can also burn it to a CD like 360ownez said.

Go to The Emulator Zone and get this emulator.
Although, for the games you either have to download them or have an original.
