Andretti has nearly has a full lap lead over the rest of the field & as usual pushing his car to the limit Blows his engine & coasts just in view of the white flag! I over heard a track offical say! If that would have been Foyt he would of maintained his composure in that situation.
Thats what the 500 is missing these days is that everyone knew back then that AJ Foyt and Mario Andretti were the 2 greatest race car drivers alive. And you could find them in the same place, you cant say that about now, anywhere.
I find Nascar o be somewhat of an anachranism. Boxes goin around a track clumsily, as compared to Indy car.............

AJ is who brought Goodyear to IMS.
Mario is great driver and the Andretti name means racing but AJ Foyt will always be the best to me!
