@SirPaladin Well the gears stripping out of heavy labor is a big issue. They have sent replacement hips with neckbreaker that supposedly fixes the problem, but I have my doubts.. The first one (that brings the leg into the correct position) is more cosmetic as everything functions properly. But still not how the figure is intended to be, and I'm not sure what long term effects it might have (since the proper gearing does have some effect with alt mode).
@reluttr2 yup that's the "fix." Personally I'm not convinced, but people say it works. But I have read at least one person on TFW who claims that even with that fix the gears started stripping.
@reluttr2 quite true, but requires some testing to see if it'll flex enough. And if it doesn't... Well then you'll end up stripping the gear tooth. Can't wait till TFC just sends us something to fix it.
@davdx You are most welcome. Thanks for the compliment. Just know that some people have reported that their devi's have trouble standing using similar tactics.. But in my case aside from the tooth that I stripped prior to the fix he stands just fine. I can't wait to see what TFC does about the fix so people don't need this video anymore.
Thanks for showing us how to fix him. The first issue I had and the second, well "If it ain't broke don't fix it." Though I just fiddled with it until the everything on the cogs lined up.
Hopefully tfc will come up with some nice fix for you so you don't have to do the second part. But if not it's a necessary fix if you plan to do anything with combined mode besides standing straight. :)
@mantis999999999 You and me both! With structor sitting in my pile of loot paid for, I'm SO tempted to ship him to have another part.. But I guess I'll wait till dr. crank shows so I can have all but an arm and leg!
@Fro0lik hehe Thanks for the thread on TFW as that's what I read to figure out what to do. Sometimes it's less scary when we can see someone else do it first. :)
Great Video! I haven't picked mine up yet but do you think I should wait? Will they have a new batch with fixed version? I don't like to wait cause these 3rd party toys usually run out of stock quick!
@ivoryG37 Honestly, I'm not sure. I don't know if exgraver ever got a fixed shovel. I suppose on a second run they could. But it's an easy enough fix and my understanding is that eventually we'll get the replacement parts. Maybe research to see if exgraver now comes packed with the fixed shovel and judge from there.. Wish I could give you more info!
Are all of these repair procedures essential for the figure's functions or could they be considered "Cosmetic" alterations?

@T2rx6 From what I have gathered, the "Fix" consists of TFC putting grease on the gears.

I am not brave enough to do that I will wait for Neckbreaker to come with the hip replacement

@RodimusMinor1987 Don't blame you. But there have been reports of the replacement hips stripping too.
Whether those reports are true or not i'm not sure. But I mostly dove in knowing I'd get the replacement hips.

Another way to fix heavy labor is by gently sanding down the area behind the tooth on the ratchet spring.

This is an amazing video and so much better then trying to decipher photos on a message board. Thank you so much for showing us how to do this fix.

thanks a lot for doing both. I made the problems/fixes thread on tfw, but haven't dared to actually do the last fix myself yet. might do it tomorrow.
