@bandgeekmarching You will evenly work single crochet increases evenly around every few stitches and work additional increase rounds to make the crown larger.
I want to make this hat for a friend and you said this yarn was chunky can you tell me where I could purchase a lime green chunky yarn? This is to be a birthday gift
@bandgeekmarching It is not necessary to decrease for sides to start forming. What you do it stop increasing and the edges will start to curl. You can use decreasing for shaping as a design element.
@missfarooq1 If you use 3 ply yarn alone, you will need to work additional increase rounds unless you are planning on using two strands of 3 ply yarn.
that was simply fantastic...i am already making it....i was wondering if u could teach how to make a hooded cowl...i searched but didnt find anything..so plz help..:D

My hat looks like a big pancake when I finished my increasing and started single crocheting around is this normal?
bandgeekmarching 10 months ago
@bandgeekmarching When the increasing is finished, it should eventually start to form sides with the edges curling up.
