I hate to be negative on youtube because I usually see it as people just doing their best and OK we can't all be a guitar God or master teacher. However, this has to be singularly the most uninformative and boring clip I have encountered. I love resonator guitars, mainly because they are so exciting but this added nothing to the field.

@jessupar It's flat on purpose which is a traditional blues tuning. Don't know if you knew this, mate, but blues is not the most harmonic genre out there.

I don't think he really understands how a resonator works. The resonator cone works the same way a speaker does, only rather than electromagnetic pulses causing the cone to vibrate, it is the vibration of the strings. The strings rest on a piece called a biscuit, which is in direct contact with the cone. So when you pluck a string the vibration is carried through the biscuit and into the cone.
