I am so disappointed in this storyline. All Sharon wanted was her baby and now that's taken from her. I can't believe the writers are taking Nick and Sharon through another loss. I can see this on other soaps but, not this one. This one was more realistic. I'll watch this again when Sharon get her baby back.
I have been a fan of Nick and Sharon from the very beginning. I used to think that the writers wrote somewhat realistic storylines. But with this baby-switching antic, I'm sorry, is just absolutely absurd! For this, I am sad to say that I am not going to follow this show for a while. I highly believe that in 6 months, the storyline will be just the same, but with Adam in the looney bin and Sharon's baby grown to be 6 years old in soap opera years.

The integrity of the show has been lost by the fact that the writing involved in this baby switch has major gaps, holes and is not cohesive on any counts that work. It is contrived and it sheds light on how the show has fallen detrimentally & continues. I am tired of the lengthening of this s/l until I am blue in the face. MAB might as well, left Shick reconnecting out of the mix, since this is the messy road back.
The Newman family saluting Nick being a father of Sharon's baby outside of marriage to Phyllis is beyond laughable, lol Also, the fact that Nick says that he is committed to his marriage is laughable as well, considering he Phyllis is the last to know of the child that he and Sharon made together. Sharon suffering through this debacle & having her child kidnapped is an excuse for the writers to further put us out of our misery & make us bored. Sharon's constant suffering is surreal.
Sharon's lie was to help Nick throughout Summer's illness, however Nick utilizes her lie as an honor, and does not tell Phyllis once he found out, also Phyllis is the last to know. But, given the upcoming spoiler alerts, Phyllis is said to forgive and forget. The writing is just awful. I really donot care at this point, the writers have done a bang up job, literally. lol
The writing is very ridiculous, unreal, and contrived to the fullest extent. The child was said to be 7 1/2 months premature, therefore, she would have a good 1 1/2 months left to develop, also there is no incubater to nurish the baby and to keep it developing, the birth was way too early.
Sharon giving birth in the psych ward is unbelieveable, esp. w/ blood, sterilization, and clotting procedures that need to take place to prevent infection. Also the preme should get instant med. care.
You just have to laugh. This shit is funny as hell because MAB has banked everything on this s/l and it's written as pure comedy. Instead of going the dramatic route they really should've just took it the comic route because that's exactly what this is pure comedy. Right on point! @ 7 1/2 mths. the babies lungs are not developed and it's actually one of the MOST DANGEROUS time to deliver due to that fact! The baby could NOT survive w/out being place immeditaley on a ventilator and under strict Neonatal ICU! Would NOT be released til the lungs were fully developed! They are the last organs to develop and one of the most CRUCIAL to a baby's survival!

This is HORRIBLE writing! I just laughed because these writers think we're idiots. When the doctor said that Sharon shouldn't worry they had plenty of hot water and towels as if no technology were available. Then the nurse knew Sharon was in labor and there was no assistant for the doctor to deliver the baby. Then the fire alarm goes off and the building is not evacuated. This is stupid s/l that serves no purpose and is just full of holes I can't even respect what the writers just executed.
It does not look like Nick is going to leave Phyllis anytime soon. He looks like he loves his wife and the baby but not going to ask Sharon to come back to his life. The birthing scenes were weird. Why was she not taking birthing classes?

I love so much about this clip. I agree with Joshua Morrow. This story has the potential to be really awesome! Everyone should settle in for a while as this story won't be a quick one. The hallucinating Sharon was a sight to behold.The birthing scenes bordered on camp. As a Phick fan, it was great to hear Nick thinking mostly about Summer and Phyllis in relation to how the new baby would affect his life. Nick is finally really committed to Phyllis again. Love it! Vote with your remote! Is the quality of storytelling, we as Y&R fans will accept? I don't think so. The writers treat us, the fans, as if we're idiots and not deserving of a consistent, thoughtful, heartfelt, INTELLIGENT story, so I say we take our viewership elsewhere. rbbjack, Nick is the father of her baby. She should be in the hospital with him by her side. Instead, her baby is being delivered in a psych ward by a hack dr. that she doesn't even know. I think I'd be hallucinating about Nick too. And what the hell does Nick styaing or not staying with Phyllis and Summer have to do with Sharon having her baby stolen by Adam? Not a damn thing.

I agree. What a nonsensical remark that was. Lest anyone forget, Nick made a choice to be with Phyllis and Summer out of duty more than love. If he was so in love with Phyllis, he wouldn't have slept with Sharon twice and left Phyllis. Had Summer not become ill, Sharon and Nick would be together now.
Hate her or not, Sharon doesn't deserve to have her child stolen and to lose bonding time. It's cruel.

I agree that this s/l is completely contrived and unbelievable. I guess the writers think we're smoking the same shit they are, and we can overlook all of the things that don't make sense. Sorry. If you are going to come up with such a contrived storyline, at least make it somewhat believable. YandR viewers are use to intelligent writing and aren't going to settle for such nonsense. Sharon better come out of this kicking and screaming, and bring Adam to his knees along with that hack Dr.

The integrity of the show has been lost by the fact that the writing involved in this baby switch has major gaps, holes and is not cohesive on any counts that work. It is contrived and it sheds light on how the show has fallen detrimentally & continues. I am tired of the lengthening of this s/l until I am blue in the face. MAB might as well, left Shick reconnecting out of the mix, since this is the messy road back.

The Newman family saluting Nick being a father of Sharon's baby outside of marriage to Phyllis is beyond laughable, lol Also, the fact that Nick says that he is committed to his marriage is laughable as well, considering he Phyllis is the last to know of the child that he and Sharon made together. Sharon suffering through this debacle & having her child kidnapped is an excuse for the writers to further put us out of our misery & make us bored. Sharon's constant suffering is surreal.

Sharon's lie was to help Nick throughout Summer's illness, however Nick utilizes her lie as an honor, and does not tell Phyllis once he found out, also Phyllis is the last to know. But, given the upcoming spoiler alerts, Phyllis is said to forgive and forget. The writing is just awful. I really donot care at this point, the writers have done a bang up job, literally. lol

The writing is very ridiculous, unreal, and contrived to the fullest extent. The child was said to be 7 1/2 months premature, therefore, she would have a good 1 1/2 months left to develop, also there is no incubater to nurish the baby and to keep it developing, the birth was way too early.
Sharon giving birth in the psych ward is unbelieveable, esp. w/ blood, sterilization, and clotting procedures that need to take place to prevent infection. Also the preme should get instant med. care.

You just have to laugh. This shit is funny as hell because MAB has banked everything on this s/l and it's written as pure comedy. Instead of going the dramatic route they really should've just took it the comic route because that's exactly what this is pure comedy. The writers contradicted themselves right out of this story and it just makes them look like complete idiots.

Right on point! @ 7 1/2 mths. the babies lungs are not developed and it's actually one of the MOST DANGEROUS time to deliver due to that fact! The baby could NOT survive w/out being place immeditaley on a ventilator and under strict Neonatal ICU! Would NOT be released til the lungs were fully developed! They are the last organs to develop and one of the most CRUCIAL to a baby's survival!

This is HORRIBLE writing! I just laughed because these writers think we're idiots. When the doctor said that Sharon shouldn't worry they had plenty of hot water and towels as if no technology were available. Then the nurse knew Sharon was in labor and there was no assistant for the doctor to deliver the baby. Then the fire alarm goes off and the building is not evacuated. This is stupid s/l that serves no purpose and is just full of holes I can't even respect what the writers just executed.

It does not look like Nick is going to leave Phyllis anytime soon. He looks like he loves his wife and the baby but not going to ask Sharon to come back to his life. The birthing scenes were weird. Why was she not taking birthing classes?

Birthing classes? The woman was in the psych hospital during lockdown with a man she didn't know delivering her baby. There was no one else around. Birthing classes be damned. I'd be freaked out and all over the place too.if I were in her situation.

I love so much about this clip. I agree with Joshua Morrow. This story has the potential to be really awesome! Everyone should settle in for a while as this story won't be a quick one. The hallucinating Sharon was a sight to behold.The birthing scenes bordered on camp. As a Phick fan, it was great to hear Nick thinking mostly about Summer and Phyllis in relation to how the new baby would affect his life. Nick is finally really committed to Phyllis again. Love it! Phyllis, well, she deserves to stay married to a man who will NEVER love her the way he STILL loves his ex! He said it best to Victoria re: their parent's realtionship.... OMFG I hate Adam! This soap has not made me cry this much since Cassie died. I was literally in tears when Adam took SHaron's baby. I don't know if I can candle this s/l. I hope both Shaorn and Ashley beat Adam to a bloody pulp when they find out he has done this shit to them. He needs to go down!
